I had a bit of trepidation after reading some of the reviews on here, but I needn't have worried. We needed to stay a night in Bexley as we were attending a party. The bigger hotels were a bit of a way out of the centre, and this one was ideal for the railway station. Anyway, it's a quirky little place and was clearly once a pub, so it's a listed building with lots of funny little architectural quirks. The owner met us when we arrived and sorted out our keys and gave us information about local eateries where they offer discount for guests. The lobby was clean and welcoming. Our room was super clean and well appointed. Two thin pillows and two thick pillows which really pleased us as we have very different pillow needs! A king size bed (very comfortable), tea and coffee facilities, toiletries and a lovely hot shower. We were overlooking the High Street, but as we didn't get back until 2am, we certainly weren't bothered by any noise, and there was no noise on the Sunday morning when we woke up. Check out was simple and we dropped our keys in the box before leaving. We have recommended this hotel to friends who may need to stay in the area, and we will certainly use it again.

Obwohl wir nicht selbst behindert waren, wurden wir ein behindertes Zimmer gegeben, das offensichtlich gerade renoviert war. Das Zimmer war ausgezeichnet, geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Wir haben nie in einem so großen Bett geschlafen - es war größer als es lange war!

Everything was as expected the breakfast was brilliant, staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel was very clean. Only negative was the hotel is very dated and in need of makeover.

Absolut geliebt die Lage und wird definitiv zurückkehren. Die Service und Aufmerksamkeit auf die Details des Rezeptionsteams ist besonders 10/10. Einige Bereiche des Hotels brauchen Renovierung - auch wenn nur ein Fleck von Gemälde für jetzt, da sie nicht mit dem Rest des Hotels in Einklang stehen. Das Zimmer war klein, aber praktisch und leider hatte es nicht die beste Aussicht, aber das ist kein Problem. Ich fühlte mich bequem und sicher während meines Aufenthalts. Es gab eine kleine Problematik mit der Luftkon-Einheit, die sehr datiert ist und nicht mit der Estetik eines modernen und renovierten Zimmers passt, das sehr attraktiv erscheint. Insgesamt wäre es sehr glücklich, insbesondere im Sommer wieder zu besuchen und ihr Abendessen zu versuchen.

Über Neujahr verbachten wir 3 Nächte in diesem optisch sehr stilvollen Hotel mit schönen Zimmern. Unser Zimmer mit einem Kingsize Doppelbett war sehr geräumig und stets sehr sauber und hygienisch. Leider lag unser Zimmer in der Nähe des Belüftungssystems, was zu Geräuschen während der Nacht führte, welche aber nicht all zu schlimm sind. Die Hotelanlage ist gut ausgestatt und verfügt über eine wunderschöne Bar und ein elegantes Restaurant. Das Frühstück war ok aber dem Preis nicht entsprechend. Am Silvesterabend haben wir im hotel gegessen und die Auswahl des Buffets war klein und das Essen ebenfalls Ok. Das Personal war stets sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ebenfalls gut. Man erreicht das „Zentrum“ von London in ca. 30min mit dem ÖV oder Taxi/Uber. Greenwich bietet zusätzlich Möglichkeiten zum Essen und für Cafes. Die nächste Zugstation ist ca. 5min entfernt, von der aus man aber nicht die besten Verbindungen ins Zentrum hat. Greenwich dagegen schon, diese Station ist allerdings ca. 10min zu fuss weg. Zusammenfassend ist das Hotel also ok bis gut, wenn man aber den sehr günstigen Preis miteinbezieht, ist dieses Hotel durchaus seinen Preis wert.

Noora never fails to go above and beyond every time we touch base, never fails to accommodate us fully and provides excellent customer service. Towels needed no problem toilet roll no problem parking info. Absolutely anything needed ask Noora. We stay in a variety of travelodge locations Inc Barking Becton Dagenham Ilford etc and would recommend any travelodge to family and friends.

Das Hotel liegt im Süden Londons, einem neuen Entwicklungsgebiet. Nehmen Sie vom Londoner Hauptbahnhof aus einen Zug in dieses neue südliche Gebiet und gehen Sie dann etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Es gibt viele Hotels in der Nähe. Wenn Sie wissen, wie man Bahntickets kauft und Züge nimmt, ist dieser Ort immer noch in Ordnung. Der Preis ist erschwinglich und die Einrichtungen sind relativ neu. Der Service an der Rezeption ist sehr enthusiastisch. Ich habe das Frühstücksbuffet nicht ausprobiert. Schaut OK aus. Ich habe einmal in einem nahegelegenen chinesischen Restaurant gegessen und war angenehm überrascht, authentischen taiwanesischen geschmorten Schweinefleischreis zu haben. Es gibt auch viele andere Restaurants. Man hat den Eindruck, dass es in dieser Gegend mehr Arbeiter gibt und die Atmosphäre eine andere ist als im Großraum London. Es ist aber auch schön, dieses neue Gebiet zu sehen, ein Erlebnis.

We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

Derartige große Lage & das Personal ist erstaunlich! Es befindet sich direkt neben Kings Cross & Coal Drop Yards, die bequem ist. Check-in ist einfach und sie lassen sogar Ihr Gepäck kostenlos, wenn Sie sie frühzeitig & nach Ihrem check-out erhalten. Das Personal ist so nett, auf den Vordertisch, Wartung, Reinigung Crew & Management. Ich liebe, wie die Betten Sie die Farbe der Beleuchtung ändern können. Es gibt Plugs für Ihr Telefon und einen Schließfach, um Ihre Sachen zu speichern. Auch eine Bar zu hängen Socken oder ein Handtuch. Sie haben eine riesige Lounge, wo Sie kühlen oder arbeiten können & eine Küche. Sehr große Küche, große Möglichkeit, $ während der Reise zu sparen! Badezimmer sind immer sauber und immer warmes Wasser. Sie haben Veranstaltungen in der ganzen Woche, die großartig ist für die Verbindung mit neuen Leuten. Sie können dem Personal sagen, ist wie Familie hier & echte Seelen! Sicherlich empfehlen, dieses Hostel beim Reisen nach London zu checken! Meine nächste Reise nach London, ich werde hier definitiv bleiben. 💚
