Wir blieben für 2 Nächte. Sibiu ist sehr nett und wir wollten im Zentrum der Stadt bleiben. Das Zimmer war sehr nett, sauber und komfortabel. Sie haben nicht Kaffeehersteller im Zimmer, aber am Frühstück fanden wir einen guten Kaffee. Sie haben auch einen Pool sehr schön , warmes Wasser , sehr sauber , wunderbar , entspannend , keine besetzt , weil der Besuch angekündigt werden muss . Im Spa hatten wir eine sehr gute Massage , um 30€ ! Wir mögen dieses Hotel , wir ‘ werden sicher zurück kommen !

A very grand building repurposed as a Hotel. Check in staff were very pleasant, the porter spent more time outside talking and smoking with the carpark security guy than providing service, the breakfast staff were abundant but also more interested in talking among themselves. The decor is quite specific in taste. The rooms are functional however I found the bed very firm, the bathroom is curious in design and function. A block of tile is protruding into the doorway and catches unsuspecting toes, no bench space for toilet bags. But the room was quiet and able to open a window for fresh air and a good nights sleep.

Can't go wrong with downtown classic. Just a stroll away from the old center with all its history, bars and restaurants, the Ramada Sibiu kinda has it all. Location, view, generous apartments with kitchenette for families, decent indoor and outdoor parking (upon availability - no reservations), large restaurant and plenty of meeting space. Yup, they sometimes have a dodgy elevator and no pool, but hey, no one's perfect! Tip: try to get a room opposite the elevators at a superior level so that you can enjoy the view - you van see the mountains on a clear day ;)

Das ehemalige IBIS-Hotel wurde von der rumänischen CONTINENTAL-Kette übernommen, um noch das letzte Quäntchen Profit herauszuquetschen... Das meist ungeschulte und auffällig junge Personal glänzt zumeist mit Abwesenheit oder ist mit privaten Handy-Telefonaten beschäftigt. An der Rezeption muss man oft Zeit mitbringen, da diese nicht durchgängig besetzt ist. Hotel-eigene Kleidung gibt's ebenso nicht. Dafür häufen sich bis zum Mittag die Hinterlassenschaften der letzten Besucher auf den Tischen in der Lobby, die aber alleine schon aufgrund der ausgesessenen und völlig unterdimensionierten Sitzgelegenheiten ohnehin nicht wirklich zum Verweilen einläd... Die durchaus modern und geschmacklich eingerichteten Zimmer werden sporadisch gereinigt und der technische Zustand der Aufzüge ist beängstigend! Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr übersichtlich und besticht mit viel abgepackten wie Muffins o.ä. Irritierend ist auch, dass sich die Mitarbeiter mit großen Tassen ganz selbstverständlich an den 2 einzigen Kaffee-Automaten im Frühstücksgastraum bedienen, während man als Gast zunächst warten und dann nur kleine Tassen nutzen kann. Hotel-eigene Parkplätze gibt es genau 8 Stellplätze - ansonsten kann man ja (natürlich gebührenpflichtig) auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz in unmittelbarer Nähe parken... Die ”Konferenzräume” sind geradezu lächerlich in Größe und Ausstattung und sind den Aufpreis zu tageweisen Nutzen definitiv nicht wert. Dafür hängen in nahezu allen Winkeln Überwachungskameras - Big Brother lässt grüssen... Wir kommen definitiv kein 2. Mal!

Das Hotel liegt in einer kleinen Straße, sehr ruhig, etwa zehn Minuten zu Fuß von der Altstadt entfernt. Dieses Hotel verfügt über ein Dutzend kleine und schicke Zimmer. Es gibt keinen Aufzug, es ist schwieriger, großes Gepäck nach oben zu tragen, die Dekoration des Zimmers ist moderner, die Klimaanlage ist geteilt, mit Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher ausgestattet, der Fernseher kann CGTV empfangen. Es gibt nicht viele Arten von Frühstück, einige Arten von Brot und Aufschnitt sowie einige Nüsse und Gurken und rote Paprika. Sie können die Kellnerin nach Spiegeleiern fragen. Dies ist das einzige warme Essen. Die großen Badetücher im Zimmer rochen schlecht und es war nicht bekannt, ob sie nicht gereinigt oder gelagert wurden.

In fact, I had a reservation, but I refused to stay at the hotel due to the conditions and the rudeness of the staff (who were probably following the owner's instructions). The German-named hotel, a rip-off, was pretty much like the one I got with Johannis. You check in, go to your room, and find that it's very hot. You fiddle with the high-tech AC control system on a tablet embedded in the wall, only to discover that it's already set to the minimum temperature with the ventilation at maximum, yet it still displays 27 degrees in the room. You take off your shoes and sit by the ventilation grille, noticing a slight breeze (and I'm not exaggerating, just a slight breeze) that probably aims for 25-26 degrees. I've spent several years cumulatively in hotels, so I know their tricks. I open TripAdvisor and search for reviews, and of course, all the ones from the summer period complain about the lack of AC. I go down to the reception and ask the lady there if they have any rooms where the AC works and if they won't shuffle me from room to room as they did with other tourists who had written about this ”strategy,” probably devised by the rude owner. The lady assures me that she will solve my problem: two more rooms and luggage tours through the hotel, only to find out that it was exactly as I suspected: no room could provide a decent temperature. The lowest was 26 degrees with the AC running at maximum for 5 hours (in a colleague's room who had arrived earlier). I don't understand two things: How does a place like this get a 4-star rating? Probably the same way gas stations between buildings do. What kind of owner is so rude and stingy that they won't solve the problem and won't instruct their staff to try to fool the customer by shuffling them from room to room, even though they have reviews from 2022 pointing out the issue? PS: I mustn't forget two more aspects: brown wooden doors in a design with white and gray in the rooms; it's as if a blind person thought of the color combination. The parking lot might be enough for 10% of the rooms, and the reception lady encourages you to park at the nearby Mega Image supermarket where the parking spaces are marked as for the store's customers. When you ask if that's not a problem, you're told to put your car in a less noticeable spot in the back; otherwise, the store staff might notice and come to ”complain” about it. This is Romanian tourism (even with a German name) in the ”land of well-done things.”

The atmosphere in this hotel, in this period of time is amazing: Christmas Trees, Christmas Carols, even the smell from halls reminder of Christmas Seasons. The breakfast was very, very good. Everything your heart desire. The food from traditional restaurant was very tasty, specially goulash. Friendly staff
