Hotels mit Abhol- und Bringservice in Palermo

We visited Abbazia Santa Anastasia after finding it online and reading some of their reviews. It is an impressive abbey tucked away in the hills and winery in the Castel Buono with wonderful vistas. The hotel, the room, the pool and surrounding walking areas are very impressive and worth visiting for a unique Sicilian experience and, of course, taste of some local wine. While I agree with some of the prior reviews, the staffs attentiveness to guests may have been spotty in some instances, when I addressed the issue, it was quickly corrected and more than made up for by their subsequent efforts. I would highly recommend visiting this hotel winery and trying it out. If any issues arise, they should be addressed at the hotel and I believe the experience would be definitely worthwhile.

Standort Ausstattung und Service sind von höchster Qualität Besonders zu erwähnen sind der Service der Concierges Irene und Philip - sie kümmerten sich in hervorragender Weise um uns, fanden Ersatz für eine verlorene Brille, arrangierten Ausflüge, organisierten den Umzug in noch schönere Zimmer. Der Blick auf das Meer, der große Garten mit Ende Dezember noch blühenden Pflanzen - ein Ambiente wie aus einer anderen vergangenen Welt, das hoffentlich noch eine Zeit erhalten bleibt. Wir kehren gewiß zurück.

We ate at their restaurant tonight. It surpassed our expectations. The food was so fresh and vegetables grown in their own garden. The flavors are amazing and presentation beautiful. From appetizers to dessert our meal was spectacular. The service is impeccable and wait staff attentive to our every need. Particularly Luigi who was welcoming, friendly and professional. Our experience at the resort and in their restaurant will without doubt have us return to beautiful Sicily. If all of that is not enough, the proximity to the airport makes this both a great first and last stop. It definitely is a better choice than Palermo center. Five stars for sure and one more for good measure.

This review will be shared in two parts - PART 1: If anyone is expecting a to read a good review - please know I have nothing good to share about this hotel and the level of customer service I just experienced. I would advise all to proceed with caution when choosing to consider this hotel. They are greedy thieves and care more about collecting your money more than anything. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels - I am always one to leave good reviews for good experiences. This hotel service is beyond disgusting. I had traveled from Calabria, Italy to stay at Unìco Boutique Hotel D’Arte on August 10th 2024. I had initially booked to stay 3 nights - spending a great total of $2000CAD for the stay. After a long 4 hour journey from Calabria to Mondello, Sicily - my fiance and I checked into the hotel so excited to be there. The property itself is very nice aesthetically. After checking in and walking to the beach (being there for only 35 minutes) I received an unfortunate phone call stating that my aunt, whom I was traveling with - from Toronto to Italy - had just been rushed to the hospital in Calabria. She was excessively bleeding and in intensive care, with no insight as to her status, well being or if she would even make it through the night. My family advised me that it was best to go back to Calabria right away. I hadn’t even taken my shoes off at the beach when I received the call. I rushed back to the hotel to advise them of the emergency situation and stated I needed to leave immediately and go back to my town where I had come from just that morning. The staff member at the front reception desk, Rosalba, contacted the property owner - in Italy they call them “Archittetto” and advised her of my situation and circumstances of having to leave immediately. The reservation was booked through ******* and communication with ******* will be shared throughout this review. The hotel owner decided to be greedy above having any compassion for myself as her hotel guest. She refused to refund me my money. I had of course stated a one night fee could be kept based on her loss - but if she could consider giving me back my money for the remaining two nights. She refused entirely. She refused to speak to me. She refused to speak with *******. She refused to return my money “unless she rented the room out to someone else”. She refused to help in any way possible. I believe this lady is a horrible person. I begged and pleaded in the front lobby area. My aunt was now in hospital and dying because of the blood loss amount. The owner did not care and chose to be selfish and choose greed, over having any compassion. After a four hour journey - we now had to start all over again to rush back home to get to the hospital she was at. I advised the staff that I have recorded the entire encounter from start to finish. Schon beim Einchecken spürt man die Gastfreundschaft, das hilfsreiche Personal hilft gerne und erledigt die Formalitäten umgehend und speditiv. Wir hatten ein Superior Room, der sehr grosszügig gestaltet ist - Grösse ist verglichen mit anderen Hotelzimmern recht geräumig. Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr sauber und für Italien ist das Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich... Wegen Covid dauerte das ”Bedienen” leider lange, weil die Angestellten jedem Gast einen Teller zusammenstellen musste, was halt etwas dauerte bis man an der Reihe war... Dafür kann das Personal aber nichts und das soll auch keine Kritik darstellen. Ich war bereits das zweite Mal in diesem Hotel und werde das Mercury Palermo Centro auch bei meiner nächsten Sizilien Reise berücksichtigt werden... Wir hatten zwei ÜN in einer Junior Suite gebucht, bekamen aber ein upgrade auf eine Suite, die sich alle in eigens dafür errichteten Cabanas befinden. Man hat quasi ein ”Tiny-House” ohne Küche für sich. Dazu gehört auch eine kleiner abgeschlossener Garten samt Liegemöglichkeit und einem Whirl-Pool. Die Cabanas sind sehr hochwertig und ansprechend ausgestattet (samt elektrischen Jalousien) und verfügen über ein echtes und traumhaft bequemes King-Size-Bed. Wie in Amerika... Das Hotel war zu unserer Zeit nur mehr schwach frequentiert, so dass man eine absolute Ruhe und jede Menge Liegemöglichkeiten genießen konnte. Das Restaurantangebot nutzten wir nicht, daher können wir keine Aussage dazu treffen. Das Personal agierte professionell und sehr zuvorkommend, dem Standard des Hauses mehr als angemessen. Das Barangebot ist genial, das Frühstück im Freien mit Blick auf das Meer, samt hungriger Wespen ;-), war auch ganz passabel und sicher weit über dem italienischen Standard. Die frischen Omeletts waren dabei oberlecker, der Cafe leider nicht. Der war ein wirklicher Schwachpunkt und so etwas ist in Italien eigentlich ein echtes ”no go”. Der Weg nach Cefalu ist auch zu Fuß möglich (ca. 25 Minuten), wobei sich der Ort tagsüber touristisch stark überlaufen (Kreuzfahrer!!) präsentierte.

Wir waren zu einer Tagung vor Ort. - check in für 70 Leute mit einer Person hat entsprechend gedauert, das Personal war nicht immer so freundlich, wie man es sich wünscht - Frühstück und essen waren für ein buffet sehr gut, der Kaffee jedoch nur an der zu zahlenden (1,50€ pro Espresso) genießbar - Zimmer werden gerade renoviert und das waren schon ein paar sehr schöne und moderne dabei - das Hotel war wirklich sehr, sehr sauber - Hotel wird scheinbar gerne für Schülergruppen und Abschlussfahrten genutzt - Kongressbereich ist sehr groß jedoch nicht sehr modern und leider im fensterlosen Keller - Hotelbar nicht wirklich vorhanden - Man sollte definitiv ein Auto dabei haben, gerade in der Nebensaison geht fast nix vor Ort.
