Hotel Roi-KI

We visited the hotel for the 2nd time on 01.07.2023 and stayed in room no 109. Last year when we visited it was too good but this time except for the room all was bad. There was no wifi forget about free. We wanted a late dinner as we took lunch very late but the restaurant said that they can't provide dinner post 930pm. Thus we were forced to have dinner by 930pm even after we were not hungry. When the dinner was served there was no dish nor serving spoon to have our dinner. When we repeatedly complained they got irritated and the reception guy also didn't take any responsibility of the dinner. Even the TV recharge also finished. When we complained the reception guy (local khasi guy probably) got angry immediately. Furthermore as our package didn't have bf so we thought to goto the restaurant in the morning and have our dinner, but the reception guy told the restaurant doesn't open before 12noon.

The room was stinking. The linens were dirty The staff kept peeping inside the room. Very uncomfortable for the lady. Male staff roamed around with all buttons open of their shirt. Poor grievance readdressal be the manager. Manager was drunk and kept chewing pan and was not even interested in listening. Not recommended if travelling with ladies. Very uncomfortable for family. Please save yourself from the disgrace

BIG NO TO HOTEL ROI KI SHILLONG Looks can deceive you and so does the pics of Roi ki hotel. The hotel has a big flaw in family room and nearby rooms whereby you hear the kitchen big exhaust fan noise 24/7. The staff members have threatened behaviour. Highly recommend, look for another hotel like M Crown in the same vicinity. Pls do not get yourself trapped by paying in advance. Breakfast is pathetic, they will just keep cold food on the dirty table, with no one to serve or ask for any sort of help. All the best. Hope this review helps.
