Burlington Berties

We stayed here for two nights and we cannot fault the hotel. From the very warm welcome to the great rooms. We stayed in the Aldwych - spotlessly clean and well equipped. Excellent breakfast too, all cooked to order. Good size car park and plenty of space on the road too.

We had two nights here Our room was lovely, well appointed and spacious. The addition of tissues in the bathroom is needed No sign of the flapjack mentioned in so many reviews. Heating went off in the afternoon and our room became cold. Situation is good close to beaches and town centre. We weren’t able to eat dinner here as the restaurant was booked out on both nights for private parties. Understand that running a business you need to get your money in but some consideration on this point would have made life easier. There is a lovely lounge area but this does not seem to always be available to house guests. Breakfast was not up to standard- not all menu options were available, no fresh fruit but they did organise some prunes for our second morning which was appreciated. Bacon was over cooked . It is evident that investment has been made to this property but in our opinion it is overpriced and does not represent value for money.

We’ve been going to Burlington Bertie’s for meals some time now, it’s an absolute jewel in the crown for food, Sally and Joanne and Staff are excellent hosts. Food is outstanding, great choice of wine and the North42 gin which they produce is delicious… it definitely a must to try.
