Oonas Dive Club

Very nice hotel room

非常舒服的一個酒店，就是晚上蚊子多，得開空調，海灘非常棒，周邊吃飯的地方多。

i have returned to this dive club for more than 30 years.The hotel is directly above the dive centre perfect for a scuba diving holiday.Collection and return from airport is seamless and stress free.The clubs boat ObiWan and its crew are certainly among the best. The hotel rooms are basic but clean and perfectly functional.Food on the boat and at the hotel restaurant is really good and safe and very cost effective. The Dive staff are super helpful and consistently get rave reviews. The hotel staff similarly. Over the years i have gained many friends from around the world. It never ceases to impress how the club merges complete beginners and seasoned salty sea dogs so seamlessly. Often described as more a family than a club!!! The red sea has at least two of the worlds best diving sites within easy reach. The hotel itself has gained a reputation for clean safe and economical accommodation . The diving side remains one of the best small diving clubs. Below Above and beyond is the clubs moto. Arrive alone and leave with friends. Read the other reviews as a club its rarely advertised or offering special deals but theres a reason . Very very few ever regret their choice. like Hotel California you can check out but few rarely truly leave!

This is a review of the dive operation as we did not stay at the hotel. We have dived so many times with Oonas over the past 15 years and it’s always a fantastic team (quite a few been there since we started). You feel very safe and they can’t do enough for you. Special mentions this time to dive guides Pete and Aladin and the ever helpful and smiling Cheffe (sorry probably not correct spelling) and the very experienced captain. You always meet lovely people. We would not want you to dive with anyone else in Sharm. Thank you Oonas family.

I arrived at Oonas with my 13 year old daughter (6 dives) and 16 year old son (25 dives) last week. We came purely for the diving, and I had researched online to find the right place. We were very happy with our choice. The dive team are great, and having a dedicated boat is a real bonus, different from some operators who share/swap boats from day to day. All the diving guests on the boat were from this hotel, and pretty much all the hotel guests were on the boat each day, which meant that the whole operation was very slick. The kit is left on the boat throughout the week. All the transfers left on time. The dive resort is in the same building as the hotel rooms and restaurant, which means that everyone is on time, all the time. The hotel room itself was as you would expect, but the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with good (hygienic/safe) offerings for very fair prices. No tummy troubles. My kids completed their advanced open water, and nitrox courses, using Oonas kit, without a hitch. The teaching was good, and friendly. I was worried that my youngest might feel overwhelmed by the experience, having only dived in a calm lake in the UK for her OW cert, but she was never stressed, thanks to the calm support of the dive team, and equally importantly the help of the boat crew. I would recommend Oonas highly for keen divers of all ages. It hits the spot. I would not recommend the touristy "cultural" excursions around Sharm, but this is in no way a reflection on Oonas. Just stick to the excellent diving support from this one-stop-shop, which is what you came for.
