Overall, my stay at your hotel was pleasant, but there are some areas that need improvement. Firstly, I must commend the staff for their warm welcome and friendly smiles. It really made me feel at home. The food was good, but it would be great if there could be more variety for breakfast, perhaps changing the menu every 2 or 3 days. However, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. The WiFi was unreliable, which was frustrating. Additionally, I noticed some broken doors and occasional unpleasant smells in the room. The walls had stains, and having cats roaming around during breakfast was not ideal. One thing that particularly bothered me was the interruption during breakfast by staff for the past 2 days asking questions about the rooms, some of my colleagues too are complaining.Breakfast should be a time for guests to relax and enjoy their meal in peace. I suggest implementing a feedback system, such as providing cards for guests to fill out twice a week during breakfast, to address any concerns about their rooms. Furthermore, encountering cockroaches and ants in the room was unsettling. This needs to be addressed promptly to ensure a comfortable stay for guests. During lunch hours, I observed two individuals, whom I assume are hotel staff, spending an unusually long time eating. This gave the impression that they were the owners of the hotel, an old black lady and a man (tall)! which was confusing. Lastly, there were some issues with security. They need to improve their approach to guests to ensure a sense of safety and comfort. Despite these issues, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the beach, and the pool boys were fantastic. The reception staff were also very helpful. Overall, with some improvements, this could be an excellent place to stay.

Schöne gepflegte Anlage mit viel Vegatation und alten Bäumen, viele Vögel und manchmal mit Affenbande. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer gebucht, aber ein Standartzimmer erhalten, was wir erst nach einigen Tagen bemerkten. Standartzimmer sind okay, allerdings das Bad und speziell die Dusche sehr klein. Supererior Zimmer viel größer, Bad auch. Wlan dort vorhanden, sonst nur in der Rezeption. Allerdings war auch einiges in den großen Zimmer eher schlechter als in den Standartzimmern: weniger Ablagefläche im Bad, dafür Fön. Duschbrause nicht höhenverstellbar oder abnehmbar. Eine Bettdecke statt zwei, Nachttischlampen leuchteten nach oben. Zimmer näher an der Rezeption sind dem lauten Abendprogramm bis nach 22 Uhr ausgesetzt. Der Essensbereich ist sehr lieblos gestaltet und laut. Es gab quasi kein Obst. Immer die gleiche Käse- und Wurstsorte. Wir hatten nur Frühstück gebucht und waren jeden Abend in einem anderen Restaurant essen direkt am Strip vor der Tür. Sehr schön vom Ambiente u.a.The green Mamba garden oder das Scala Restaurant. Oft Lifemusic in der GT´s Bar. Am Strand waren die Plätze manchmal knapp. Die Liegen und Matten leider sehr alt. Ungewöhnlich auch, dass man für ein frisches Strandtuch Geld bezahlen muss. Wir haben 2 Ausflüge mit örtlichen Anbietern, nicht Hotel, gemacht. Banjul und raus aufs Land incl. Bootstour in den Mangrovenwäldern und Viehmärkte). Man sollte sich auf einiges Geld an Trinkgeld einstellen. Das ist sehr wichtig für die Menschen dort. Man wird viel von Verkäufern angesprochen, aber sie lassen einen in Ruhe, wenn man sagt: Maybe tomorrow oder weitergeht. Ansonsten sind sie sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder.

Prettig rustig resort wat ook voor business events wordt gebruikt waardoor redelijk goed internet. Hadden swimupkamer aan westkant daar heb je veel zon, kamers aan oostkant hebben alleen in ochtend zon. Goede zwembaden. Wij hadden logies. Ontbijt is wat eentonig maar internationaal simpel. Je kunt prima in restaurants eromheen eten, veel sfeer, veilig en je kijkt je ogen uit. Hebben 2 x op resort gegeten ook prima met live muziek erbij. The gym valt tegen,1 loopband die het niet doet, een afgedankte roeimachine en wat half kapotte fietsen en weinig oefen materiaal. Spa heeft goede massage maar de rest is minder en ze rekenen Europese prijzen en dat is te hoog voor dit land. Zwembaden en strand zijn prima, het is een wat rustiger gedeelte en weinig last van opdringerige mensen. Mensen zijn op resort en ook in hele land erg aardig. Natuurlijk wordt je buiten het resort snel aangesproken voor een taxi of local guide maar dat hoort bij dit land. Het was een byzondere Afrikaanse ervaring.

We have stayed at The Kairaba Beach Hotel for many years. We have seen it at it's best and now seen it at it's worst. Covid has a lot to answer for. It is so sad to see this Grand hotel so empty this year. Our first thought was to move hotels, but we have made many friends here at the hotel and feel at home here when we arrive. We decided to stay and even though the hotel is practically empty and working on a skeleton staff we felt obliged to stay and support. As usual the staff can't do enough for us. The management decided to allow local people to use the pool at a fee, and this has been taken up by them especially on the weekend. It gets very busy with lots of families n children most of whom can't swim. Which in turn is hard for the one pool attendent to manage as there can be up to 30 to 40 people in the pool. I understand that the management needs to bring in revenue but an extra pool attendent should be employed at the weekend. We need Whalley back at the pool❤️❤️ Breakfast is poor n not what we are used to, but on saying that we haven't gone hungry, it is once again so sad to see so few people in the hotel thus not a great selection and no buzz from it at breakfast from not being busy with guests. On the up side if we request something it is there the next day. On the whole yes it is quiet, we are under the impression that they no longer have a contract with Tui at the moment n can only be found on Gambia Experience which is expensive for the quality of the hotel at the moment. Personally I think that the hotel wasn't ready to accept guest in time for the winter holidays and with this, and what seems poor management from an higher level this once booming grand hotel has slipped into a sorry state. Hopefully with the support of regular guests that still belive in her and a higher better management plan the Grand old lady will get back to how she use to be once again in this fantastic location. We will always support as long as we are able thank you to all the stay you are doing an amazing job under the circumstances ❤️❤️

Wir hatten gerade wundervolle 11 Nächte hier Zimmer komfortabel und geräumig fantastische Dusche hatte ein Zimmer auf der Rückseite mit Blick auf die Bäume war anfangs etwas enttäuscht von der Aussicht, aber nicht lange die großartigsten Vögel, die ich je gesehen habe, und die Affen zweimal am Tag

We stayed at this resort as a group of nine, and very Apartments and the Nian Villa. The resort itself is a treasure. Its location is fantastic as it is very close the ***** and restaurants and bars. . The apartment suited couples and single travellers . The staff are friendly and welcoming although we felt the site manager was a little dismissive to some of our enquiries . We booked direct which saved us a little bit of money included free air-conditioning . The grounds are lovely in some areas, although some work is required around the Nian Villa . The Philip was a beautiful Hideaway, which suited a couple and two single travellers. It also accommodated the rest of our party when they came over for drinks et cetera . We all agree that we would definitely return
