Castello Delle Serre

We spent a week at the castle and found it to be the best vacation we’ve ever had. Centrally located and authentic, super clean, quiet, outstanding food, knowledgeable people regarding the area, and best of all, Salvatore, Kaci, and Antonio who are your hosts/owners make you feel as if you were personally invited by them. What a wonderful feeling!

This place is beautiful and the tower suite is magical -- stay there if at all possible and stay long enough to enjoy it (at least 3 nights -- we stayed 6)! With a rental car you can easily do day trips to Chianti, Sienna, Piensa, San Gimignano, Cortona, Montepulciano, the coast, and even Florence. The owners, Kaci and Antonio, will help you plan meals, outings, cooking classes, wine tastings, whatever you feel like doing each day -- so no need to plan before you arrive, just have a wish list of the kinds of things you want to do (and make sure to ask them where the best gelato spots are in each town)! Bear in mind, this is basically a B&B, no restaurant on site, but a lovely little breakfast every day and once during our stay they offered an amazing fixed-menu dinner -- and during high season (Sept/Oct) they plan to offer a fixed-menu dinner every other night. You won't go hungry, though, don't worry! There are several delicious restaurants within easy walking distance in this sweet Tuscan village, and endless options for the great restaurants just a short drive away. Leave time to relax and see what it's like to live in a castle with a perfect pool and views for miles. Can't recommend the Tower Suite highly enough, it's like having your own apartment that you'll never want to leave, and the AC works great throughout the castle which was helpful at the height of summer. Highly recommend and we hope to go back!

What an amazing experience to stay at the castle for 7 days as a base for our tour of Tuscany hosted by Salvatore. The hospitality, food, and knowledge shared was incredible. Waking up to church bells each morning opening the window and looking over this hamlet was magical. Breakfast each morning was a great start for each daily adventure. The evenings we had dinner prepared and served by Antonio and Kaci were superb. This was our best vacation EVER! We plan to return.

Salvatore, Antonio, and Kaci were awesome hosts in the picturesque Castello Delle Serre! Salvatore has transformed the Castello into a wonderful venue that is not to be missed. The food and stories that were shared have given us memories that we can never forget. We highly recommend you chimes and stay at this great site!! The Castello Delle Serre is a truly wonderful restored Castle in Tuscany. Beautifully renovated providing an authentic Tuscan experience. Antonio, Kaci and Salvatore were exceptional hosts helping us feel very welcome with their knowledge of the region being remarkable. I particularly enjoyed their openness and honesty in the recounting the rebuild of this magnificent Castle. I truly recommend a visit to the Castle and this beautiful region of Italy.

We went with a large group from around the world (not all knew each other) who were each individually treated with so much personal attention and care that made us all feel like family. The Gangale family and staff were top notch! Sal and Antonio were guides extraordinaire with a thorough knowledge of Italian history, geography entertained with USA and world events and storytelling abilities to rivet, engage and impress us continually. The hospitality, food, grounds, rooms and extras were superlative - and the weather was perfect. Enjoyed meeting Kayci and the kids along with Rozina - all part of the family to make this experience a 10+!
