"Wir haben nur eine Nacht gehabt, moderne, gemütliche und sehr saubere Struktur. Das Frühstücksraum hat einen spektakulären Blick und das Frühstück ist einfach, echt und komplett mit Süß und Salz. "A beautiful place, located inside the Fontanafredda winery. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, some with a beautiful balcony. The hotel is close to La Morra and Barolo, with easy access by car. I think it is worth staying, but it should not be too long, at most two nights to learn about the history of the place, which is very interesting, and to visit and taste the winery."

"Our stay at Il Boscareto was pleasant overall, but it left us with mixed feelings, especially considering its positioning as a luxury five-star property and its recent inclusion in the Small Luxury Hotels collection Let us start with the positives. The setting is undeniably spectacular. The views over the Langhe vineyards are among the finest in the region, and the outdoor spaces are beautifully designed and extremely enjoyable. The bathroom in our Junior Suite was of a very high standard, with excellent fixtures, generous space and a truly luxurious feel. We also slept very well, which is always an important aspect of any stay. As SLH members, we received the expected upgrade to a Junior Suite, which was appreciated. However, I would strongly recommend booking a room with a direct view over the valley. Our suite overlooked the side gardens, vineyards and part of the hotel structure. This was not a major issue for us, as we know the Langhe well and visit frequently, but guests booking a Junior Suite for a special occasion might reasonably expect the iconic panoramic views that make this property famous. Where the hotel falls short, in our opinion, is in its interior identity. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, yet surprisingly anonymous. The décor feels detached from the territory and lacks warmth, character and a sense of place. At times, the atmosphere reminded us more of a very comfortable wellness residence than of a luxury hotel in one of Italy’s most distinctive wine regions. The same impression extends to several of the common areas, including the lobby. The wellness area also left us somewhat underwhelmed. While the indoor pool benefits from large glass walls that can be opened during the warmer months, it remains relatively small for a property of this size, with more than forty rooms. The spa itself is pleasant, but does not quite match the expectations created by the hotel’s luxury positioning. The staff we encountered were invariably polite and eager to help, yet appeared rather inexperienced for a property aspiring to operate at the highest level of hospitality. We had both lunch and dinner at Sunsì Bistrot. While perfectly acceptable, neither meal was particularly memorable. The wine list is understandably focused on Batasiolo wines, given the ownership, but the overall dining experience lacked personality and excitement. The biggest disappointment, however, was breakfast. The buffet offered a reasonable variety of items, but very few products genuinely reflected the quality and richness of the Langhe. Even more surprising for a hotel in this category, the à la carte menu carried additional charges. The entire breakfast experience felt functional rather than generous or memorable. In conclusion, Il Boscareto offers one of the most beautiful views in the Langhe and several undeniable strengths. However, for a property aspiring to the highest level of luxury hospitality, we felt that too much of the experience lacked soul, local "
