Cross Keys

The cross keys is in lovely countryside on checking in we were made to feel very welcome. We were in Helmburn such a comfy bed I can’t say how amazing it was great sleep. Lots of hot water and I mean hot. The evening meal I only had a starter as we’d been travelling up from Wales and I don’t do well in a car. Truffled mushrooms with a side salad very tasty. My other half had the fish and chips which he said was excellent he also had pudding which was apple and blackcurrant crumble again he loved that. Following morning we both had breakfast which was tasty. Small point a small empty milk jug for each table so we could help ourselves to the milk and have extra on the table other than that brilliant stay would highly recommend

You get everything you’d expect from a lovely country pub in the Scottish Borders. Lovely atmosphere, lovely friendly pub and a hearty meal. The selection at the bar does not disappoint either with plenty beers and spirits to keep everyone happy. The Pale Armadillo Session IPA was especially refreshing and as lovely and cold as you’d expect. The service was a one lady show but she was on the ball and as polite as you’d expect.. thank you for looking after us so well.

Great experience from a guest’s perspective. Idyllic location, very welcoming and warm Inn staff, and delicious food and drink. We really enjoyed our time there, also on account of the spacious, well equipped and very comfortable bedrooms. Rory and team really tool the time to make us feel at home. I heartily recommend The Cross Keys Inn, and will be back for sure.
