Scandic Seinäjoki

Let me start positively. The staff was friendly and forthcoming. The hotel is close to the train station. Nevertheless, if you want to sleep well, I do not recommend this hotel. I arrived late in the evening, and when I got into my room, the heating system was quite loud. I figured that this is just for a moment, since I just arrived, and they have to get the room warm. Boy, was I mistaken. I went to bed. At 3 a.m., the noice had not stopped. It was impossible to sleep (and the presentation for which I traveled to Seinäjoki was the next day). I got up, and the receptionist offered me another room. Same problem. A third room was offered, and it seemed ok. So I packed my things, moved in the other room. 3:30 a.m. now. I opened the window in the new room to let in some fresh air, only to find out - ahh, now just outside, there was a machine (probably for heating), even louder than before! Anyhow, closing the window solved the issue, and I guess that in Finland in the winter, you don't sleep with an open window anyway. The night went by. The next nights were not better. The walls and doors are so thin that you hear everything. Person in the next room turning on the TV at 1 a.m. - there goes a good night's sleep. People coming in at 4 a.m., drunk, listening to music (apparently without AirPods) loudly - awake again. Trying to sleep in? Well, only until someone uses a floor door. When they close, the noise gets you up again. When I got into my third room in the night of arrival, I noticed the door handle for the bathroom being broken. It got fixed the next day! (Actually, when the friendly maintenance person knocked, I shouted "Not now!", but he came in anyway.) The door handle got fixed so well that it was slightly difficult to open the door to the bathroom for the remaining days. The men's sauna was under repair for most of the week, Ok, you could then use the women's sauna during certain times, but it was still not to great having to wait until then. Maybe I should have complained in the hotel. But I thought I would just let it go, be a stoic, and I have had worse experiences in life. But then came the last day. I had breakfast, checked out (is it common that no one asks you for you satisfaction anymore at that point?), and began the voyage home. About one to two hours later, my stomach began to make itself noticable. This was the first time that in a plane, I had to make use of one of these bags. Must have been the meat at breakfast.

We were staying here one night with our family but got a very dirty room. Of course we complained and staff apologized the situation. We got another room but also that had some dirt under the beds although definitely better room. We stayed there but of course it would have been nice to somehow compensate this experience. For example in a price or other ways. We were offered free coffee but that was 6pm so quite late for a coffee. Despite these downsides we slept well and breakfast was great!

One of The Lost horrible stays I've ever had in a hotel. There is no soundproofing at all, you van hear everything that goes on in and outside of The hotel. Next to The hotel is a disco and the sound of the bass echoes in The hotels rooms. Pet friendly rooms are located in The middle of The hallways and barking of The dogs was loud. Rooms are so minimalistic that it's not plesant.

Peaceful, spacious room. No luxury, but good basic level. Clean. We stayed at the restored wing so room had air-conditioning. Breakfast was very good; multiple choices and tasted good. Friendly staff. Free parking right beside the hotel.

I stayed only one night at Scandic Seinajoki but I enjoyed my stay. Only minus in my room rating was that there was no toilet brush at the toilet. Breakfast was good and food at the restaurant was tasty.

I enjoyed my time there. Very close to the central station but nevertheless not noisy. Check in and out was fast and easy. The bathroom was equipped very well and had a modern stlye. The rest of the room had a little bit of an retro style. The staff was the best part of the hotel. Will never forget them!!!
