This Travelodge is great value and staff helpful and friendly particularly Andrew. Plenty of car parking, shared with restaurant next door. Bedroom clean and TV, kettle and drinks selection. A useful stop when travelling the A1M. Will stay again.

Great little hotel staff are amazing and one really stood out I believe her name to be Cheryl, always welcomed you with a smile always asked if she could do anything to enhamce your stay and if you needed anything if only the other travelodge staff was like this up and down the country you wouldn't have alot going to premier Inn, I think travelodge so honour the good working staff like all businesses should as with out the hard working folk who are the back bone of any company they wouldn't be making a profit, hope to see you again soon Many thanks for experience Carl.biggs

Stayed for 1 night and was much nicer than expected for the price room was spacious and clean but most off all the staff(reception clerk) was really cheerful, helpful and friendly CHERYL definitely made our stay a lot more pleasant. Thank you CHERYL need more staff around like you!

We were welcomed at reception by a lovely, cheerful lady called Cheryl. She was very helpful with the filling out of the accessible form. Cheryl was very knowledgeable about the local area and where to go, what to see and where to eat. We opted for the Indian that shared the car park, good food and reasonable price. The Travelodge is old style so a little basic but very clean and good value for money. Great location for a short journey into Newcastle and the coast. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Clean hotel with comfortable beds, very basic but was fine for a few nights. One staff member was very helpful with information on the area, I think her name was Cheryl, she was very welcoming and gave great recommendations for where to eat locally and things to do. It's nice to see smiling staff on the front desk. Would stay again!

The receptionist Cheryl was the highlight. A fabulous sense of humour and a great start to my stay. She was actually on duty last year when I stayed and it was great to see her smiley face again. First impressions of a hotel are very important so Whoop Whoop to Cheryl

The people were lovely, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the accessible room was not overly accessible, the shower was over the bath with smooth grab rails, the bed was quite low, no way to lock the room for safety apart from the auto-lock mechanism, a person with a key could just walk in. The to-go breakfast option was nice, except I’m dairy intolerant but Dad loved it when I gave it to him.

The hotel is one of the old style, the fixtures and fittings are a bit rough round the edges and could use some TLC. However it was spotlessly clean and everything worked fine. Overall great value in a good location, and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Could here the room above walking round all night and from 5am in the morning. I got bit by God knows what but there was blood spots from in when I woke up, do not stay here
