We stayed here as a family for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The rooms were really lovely with sea views - clean, spacious, comfy beds, and well-equipped. We all felt it should be more than 3* as was so lovely. There was a spacious lounge and lovely bar. The restaurants were fantastic and the breakfasts were incredible. Car parking was a bit of a squeeze but managed it - those in larger cars struggled. The top floor 2 rooms (16&15) were perfect, the middle floor room (2) was nice but suffered a bit from the smell of the kitchen & cigarettes from staff smoking below the bathroom window. Staff generally were beyond kind and helpful, nothing was too much for them - the reception team were very accommodating of our questions and provided extra soft pillows on request which we were so grateful for. In particular Philippa at breakfast and Rocio behind the bar were utterly divine. The vibe of this hotel was so lovely, you could not beat it. Highly recommended.

Family run hotel with the best staff, food beds and showers on IoW! We were a party of 33 and we all loved Seaview Hotel.It is not 'on the sea front' but it does have a seaview! Great bar good beers and happy staff what more can you want? Loved it thanks everyubody at Seaview. xxx

The Seaview hotel restaurant wasn’t my first choice of places to eat but in the future it will definitely be in my top 5 of places to go! We were looked after so well , this time we sat in the bistro area which has a pleasant atmosphere, Rocio, came to take our order and through the meal we got to realise what a lovely woman she was, friendly, professional, informative with a dry sense of humour that had us laughing much of the time. The food was scrumptious, beautifully presented, I had the turbot fishcake with scallops and hollandaise sauce to start and then their ‘signature’ dish of crab ramekin, it was sooooo yummy, I highly recommend you try it. Rocio was backed up with her team of lovely servers, Cerys and Lily. They were both very polite, friendly and engaging. Although it wasn’t our first choice for dinner we were so pleased with our evening, good food, attentive and friendly service, we will definitely be going back! We had a quick chat with the manager and it became obvious to us that the people who work there really care! You should go, and you should try the crab ramekin!!!!

First visit to the restaurant of this hotel. Food and service amazing, can’t recommend this highly enough. Good prices too which was surprising considering the excellent quality. Great selection on the menu and apart from their standard menu have an additional daily menu which makes your choices even more difficult!

Sunday lunch today. Main course roast very good with large portion. Let down with the dessert Chocolate brownie sundae, which consisted of a couple of pieces of brownie and two scoops of vanilla ice cream. No chocolate ice cream, no cream, no sauce, no biscuit or wafer, no sprinkles or garnish of any description. But omg what really let the day down, the staff whilst friendly and helpful really need a uniform or at least a standard to work to. For an establishment with 2 AA rosettes to see staff in black jeans, shorts and trainers is beyond belief.

Great hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Hard working staff always willing to help and making sure u have everything u need. Rooms are impeccably clean. Fabulous location , delicious food and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to come to Isle of White !

Absolutely fantastic accommodation, beautiful food with 5 star service! Every single staff member is happy and very helpful, the location is perfect and easy to get to. Our stay was so perfect we booked an additional night. We would highly recommend to anyone who is coming to stay on the island that the Sea view hotel is the place to be!

Had a great mid week meal in the pump bar. Two of us had chicken dopiaza with popudums and the other with fish and chips. All lovely. Desserts followed which was an apple and blackberry crumble, lemon and lime tart with coconut sorbet and a vanilla Panna cotta with shortbread. All very delicious. Service was friendly and professional.

We had a meal last night in the back bar invited by friends which made it difficult for me to voice my displeasure with the serving of my Chicken Roulade - offered by the rosette awarded kitchen it was dry and crisp on the outside overwhelmed by the stuffing and if it was taste tested in the kitchen then that makes it even more of a disappointment. 2 of the sweets were uninspiring to say the least, they being the white chocolate plate and the seaview sunday. It maybe a good idea to revisit these offerings before other diners reach the same conclusions or was it just the standard to expect mid-week. The service was attentive and engaging only let down by what came out of the kitchen for part of what was served.
