"Nachdem wir den Schalenpfeil hochgestiegen waren, gingen wir direkt zu diesem Hotel. Die Mitarbeiter waren wirklich nett, besonders dem alten Mann. Sie können wirklich die Leidenschaft in seiner Arbeit sehen. Das Hotel war erstaunlich, weil es sauber und gut gepflegt ist. Sie haben auch ein Restaurant, so dass Sie nicht nach draußen gehen müssen, um nach einem Essen suchen, das für diejenigen, die müde sind von dem Aufstieg. Ich glaube, wir haben versucht, für ein Uber Essen, Lieferung usw. zu buchen, aber sie haben es nicht in diesem Bereich. Das Essen war großartig und sie haben auch ein kostenloses Frühstück."

"Das Hotel ist gut, das Apartment sollte ich anrufen, es war ok sauber und zeitgemäß und ok für die 2 Nächte, die wir dennoch waren. 3 Bälle funktionierten nicht in 2 Lampen, und das Schlafzimmer Dach Bälle war dumm und flicking auch das Eisen nicht funktionierte und das heiße Wasser dauerte ein Alter, um aus dem Tape und Dusche 😳 andere als das ok."

"This place is for workies wanting a cheap night whilst on a job. Do not book it. The tv didnt work, the kettle didnt work, our clothes were damp in the morning. The decor is horrendous and there is NOBODY around. You get an email with a number to call for a code... hopefully... we unfortunately did not get an email so we had to ask a lovely Italian guy in the same predicament to see his emails and found a contact number (he had booked through a different company) The pub over the road 'The lion and the lamb' is gorgeous. The food and staff are amazing and we camped in there until closing time after our walks. Please only book this place if you have a plastering job nearby!"

"A last-minute booking for an overnight stay and well pleased with the accommodation. Set in peaceful surroundings and a short drive from the beautiful Wasdale Lake. Accommodation was very clean and beds comfortable. Toiletries provided as well as tea/coffee and home-made biscuits A mini-bar was also available although we didn't partake! A variety of breakfast items and the cooked breakfast was fresh, hot and thoroughly enjoyable. setting us up for the day. Some noise from the room above but not enough to disturb A tad expensive compared with what we've paid before for places but it wouldn't stop us going back!"

"The good points: The staff are friendly and helpful and you can see they want to do a good job. The rooms are clean, well decorated and have plenty of power points. Things that could be better: Comfier beds and pillows. Somewhere in the shower rooms to store toiletries rather than on the floor. More storage for clothes. No breakfast - just a voucher for the shop. It would be better to knock some money off the price and just say they don't provide breakfast. Things that aren't good: The food - pretty much everything is deep fried and forget it if you are veggie or just want something wholesome and healthy. One of the menu items is called Tits 'N' ****. Really? I find that pretty offensive. Noise levels - from outside with traffic and from the pub across the road, ending late at night and starting again from 4am. And from inside the hotel, again starting from early in the morning - from around 4/4.30am. And I could hear the person in the next room snoring!!! For an odd night it's ok, but I think it would be a struggle if staying frequently or for a few nights. To be honest my score would be 2 if it wasn't for the cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of the staff, whihc can mkae up for a lot. It feels like a drinkers' pub that has rooms upstairs rather than a hotel."

"Booked an evening meal for Good Friday. Arrived to find hardly anyone in the pub, they told us they had been extremely busy but now was a lull. Warmly welcomed and ordered our food, Memphis chicken, pie,chips and peas and sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake. The food was superb, very tasty and good portions. As we were eating the pub was starting to get busy again with the residents returning from their ventures. A very enjoyable meal with friendly staff."
