I came to Illinois for a medical surgery with an ENT specialist in the area. After the surgery, I probably looked like a zombie. The front desk staff treated me with the utmost care and respect, despite my disheveled appearance.
Due to the surgery, I had a horrible sore throat, and popsicles were the only thing that eased my discomfort. Unfortunately, there’s only a fridge in the room, not a freezer. The front desk staff had mercy on me, and let me store my popsicles in their downstairs freezer. They never once made me feel like a bother, and treated me with empathy/genuine kindness. Pierre would see my mother or me, and immediately get a popsicle for me with plenty of napkins. He’s a gem of a man with a heart of gold. Teresa and Harold also showed me much kindness. If the budget allows, give these wonderful people a raise. The quality of a hotel, for me, really begins at the staff level. This place has the kindest hotel staff.
As far as the room. I was on the third floor. My room was clean, and smoke free. There is a good working mini fridge and a small microwave. There is also a continental breakfast available, which is a plus. My room was quiet and I had no disturbances. It was a wonderful stay, and I would stay here again.
I want to, again, finish my summary with accolades for the staff. Thank you Pierre, Teresa, and Harold. You saw a person in suffering, and never once looked at me with disgust. Instead, you tried your best to alleviate my pain. Thank you.
