Kyriad Saumur Centre

Rather old fashioned looking rooms but it’s clean and functional. The location is very good in the middle of town. Very good value.

La chambre était agréable mais au niveau de l'insonorisation c'est pas encors ça car voisins à l'étage bruillant.Au niveau des services il faudrait au moins une bouteille d'eau comprise dans le tarif.Pour la propreté rien à dire. Petit déjeuner correct. Pour la petite terrasse pas pu en profiter pas de petite chaise et pas séparation. Pour le parking (carrefour)je trouve que 7 euros pour la nuit sa fait cher.

Spent one night. Well located property within walking distance of the river, the main sites and several shops and restaurants. Reasonably quiet. Most rooms can't be reached directly by elevator: to get to mine (2 floors above ground) from the elevator landing I had to go through two heavy doors, several steps up and down and a short winding staircase in front of the room door. The room was tiny and windowless; it had a skylight. Comfortable bed and pillows. Sufficient number of well located power outlets. Amenities included an electric kettle. A/C worked well. Tiny bathroom with shower cabin only approx 60 cm wide. No shelf space in the shower to place own toiletries. Good water pressure. Wifi worked well. Average breakfast buffet.

First of all I want to say what a super location for the centre this hotel is. The staff were really friendly, as we had not booked the under carpark it was full but the carforre opposite has a carpark . Positives , bed comfortable and air con very good in room. Be aware it is a 3 star and the rooms are very small, think it’s smallest room we’ve ever stayed in but as a 1 night Stopover is fine . The hotel does have a pool and spa area- be aware this is not complimentary but €20 per person . No idea what it’s like as we didn’t use. We enjoyed the breakfast , decent continental which I think was €13 each. If you want a comfortable well located short stay budget hotel, this is a good choice.

This Kyriad hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Saumur, loads of restaurants in the doorstep, the Loire a very short walk away. Parking in the Carrefour car park opposite is €9 for the night (the reception staff didn't seem able to access the underground hotel car park but Carrefour is convenient soo problem). Our room was tiny, filled by the small double bed, and the bathroom so small the hairdryer on the wall required careful circumvention. Access was purely by a series of steep stairs, so if there is any physical difficulty in negotiating stairs make sure your needs are clear when booking. This was a three star experience in a three star hotel, but the location is perfect.

Having booked a superior room with a queen-sized bed we were given a poky room in the attic with a roof window and a large beam running between the bed and bathroom. When I questioned this with reception, showing the illustrations of what i thought I was booking and said that the bed was not queen-sized ... I was told they only advertised the best rooms and they only had 3 as shown on the pictures and that all the beds were the same. I pointed out that these were not queen-sized and that we didn't even have a proper window. I was asked how long we had been in the room and told if I could make it look like I hadn't been in it we could move. We were given an alternative room with a window but this was also small and was at the rear of the hotel looking over a building site. The room was unclean, flies on the window sill and the toilet was stained. Hotel was tired and furnishings old and fabric frayed. Location was okay but our stay was disappointing mainly owing to false advertising and not getting what we expected.

Good 3 star hotel in central location. We stayed 3 nights in a superior double in 1st floor. Room ok size, bathroom good as had bath and shower- all very clean. I liked the option of not having housekeeping every day, and was able to get refill coffee and toilet roll from reception when required. Air con worked well. We asked for a sheet instead of the duvet as it was hot, and they accommodated our request. Very helpful bilingual front desk staff. There is no lift, and a little bit of noise of people in upstairs room walking around. The parking was closed for building work, but easy to park in open car park opposite for 8 euros 24 hrs. We didn’t have breakfast as lots of nearby cafés. We would stay again.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel. It is well located. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were traveling by bicycle and they seemed to be well set up for that. however, the room was tiny, I think it might have been just adequate for one person but it was very tight for two people. The double bed was against the wall so only one person gets out easily. The Wifi was at best intermittent.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet établissement. À la suite d’un problème technique, la responsable a fait preuve de compréhension et a réglé le souci sans délai avec un important geste commercial en supplément.
