Our stay at Clarendon Cottages was nothing short of enchanting! Nestled in the breathtaking Dandenong Ranges, this charming retreat felt like something out of a fairy tale! The cottage itself was immaculate! The attention to detail was impeccable— so many treats left for us! Even bird seed to feed the birds! The private garden setting, surrounded by towering trees and the sounds of nature, provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation! Plus a SPA BATH! Clarendon Cottages is a true hidden gem. Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape, a peaceful retreat, or just a bit of magic in your life, this place has it all. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend! Cant wait to come back!

We stayed at Dovecote Cottage for two nights. It was a relaxing time made special by the beautiful environment of the cottage and gardens. George and Jane have created a very peaceful haven and we loved all the attention to detail in the Dovecote. Everything needed for a wonderful stay has been thought of - a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom; generous breakfast provisions and a number of extra treats to enjoy; books, games and dvds and the perfect sofa for viewing the garden and birds from the gorgeous picture window. Also, the cottage was scrupulously clean and well maintained throughout. We would love to have a return visit one day. Very highly recommended!

Thank you to our hosts George and Jane for providing us with a beautiful place to stay and a magical weekend away. The Stables cottage was beautifully appointed and well stocked with delicious provisions. Comfortable and cozy it made for a relaxing and peaceful stay. The beautiful gardens, visiting bird life, bakeries, cafes and local walking tracks provided lot's of entertainment right on the doorstep. We'll be back!

Our family group of four adults stayed two nights in The Stables Cottage. The cottage was accurately described on the website and very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for home cooking, and electric blankets on the beds were welcome for one chilly night. We pre-ordered a Drinks and Nibbles platter which was more than ample, along with the bottle of bubbly included in our rate. Breakfast provisions were very satisfactory - bread, bacon, eggs, yoghurt, juice, milk and fruit. The cottage has a lovely front verandah overlooking a delightful quiet garden. The only minor drawback was bathroom plumbing was noisy in the front bedroom. Despite this, I would recommend The Stables at Clarendon Cottages.

Our cottage was so comfortable, clean and super stocked with treats. We especially loved the bird seed to feed the pretty birds. It’s a short walk to a bakery and a short drive to pubs/restaurants. The fresh bead left in the cottage was so delicious we would definitely stay here again

Camellia cottage is tucked away at the end of a path, very private. The cottage is spacious with the bedroom, easy chairs and bathroom on the upper level and kitchen and table on the lower floor. An outdoor verandah with table and chairs is off this area, perfect for enjoying an afternoon cup of tea or a glass of bubbly. We arranged for a savoury platter and sparkling wine for our first evening, a very generous platter was awaiting us. Thankyou for the suggested walk to Alfred Nicholas Garden, we really enjoyed the walk and gardens.

My husband and I stayed at Clarendon Cottages for a weekend in late November, and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. We stayed in the Camelia Cottage and absolutely loved it. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the interior design of the cottage to make it a cozy, welcoming place. And just the attention to detail to make your stay that little bit better was very welcome! Everything from an umbrella bucket (with an umbrella) by the door (It rained a lot during our stay), to a well stocked fruit bowl. Blankets for the arm chairs, a very comfy bed and bedding, excellent breakfast options. We could not fault the place and will definitely consider returning in the future.
