Pension-Albergue Don Alvaro

I found this to be a very enjoyable albergue to stay at for the night. The staff and I believe owners, were very nice people, friendly, helpful. the bathroom was clean and well kept, the room was clean, kitchen was clean and offered various cooking items for use. Vending machine for hot...maybe not that great...coffee/tea/hot chocolate, but it worked when I wanted it. We used the laundry services and when we received our laundry back my clothes were all dry!! That rarely happened during my whole trip. There is a room with a large fireplace for visiting with each other, a guitar for people to use, some liquor was provided as a gift to the pilgrims to enjoy. Things I would find a con or maybe a smidge negative - the bathroom could get pretty chilly, in the bathroom there were windows as a wall to the outside...patterned windows, but windows. Kind of unnerving for my conservative self to go to the bathroom with a window as a wall to the outside. lol. Definitely worth a stay! :-)

Situado en la calle principal del casco urbano, la que llega al Monasterio. Sus dueños cuidan detalles especiales, como el patio con su fuente, la terraza solárium y la habitación de la chimenea. La habitación estaba muy limpia y recién reformada. Para repetir!!!!

Fue en mi primer tramo del camino, hace 4 años. Llegué a él sin ninguna referencia, sin conocer nada de el albergue. y me sorprendió muy gratamente. Una casona con patio interior, con salón con chimenea. La chica que lo lleva también muy agradable y con muy buena conversación. Totalmente recomendable. Y lo de los chupitos todo un detallazo. Sin duda alguna, repetiré.
