Nukumori No Yado Furukawa

The atmosphere at this ryokan was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the onsen was truly relaxing and enjoyable. I had such a great time staying here that I honestly didn’t want to leave. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable ryokan experience.

This is the best onsen hotel I’ve ever experienced. The dinner was incredible; all the food was well-suited to Asian tastes. The room is stunning—room 802 has spiral stairs that lead directly to a private rooftop onsen. Guests staying on the 7th and 8th floors have access to a special lounge, which provides a comfortable space along with drinks and snacks. The vibe is beyond words. I must stay at this hotel again when I travel to Hokkaido. I highly recommend travelers stay here—you will love it!

Such a beautiful place near Sapporo, the dinner and spring are so good, refreshing us from tiredness of traveling. The view and position of this hotel is wonderful.

I loved Nukumori No Yado Furukawa! I was an American solo traveler, but my wife is Japanese (we have 2 boys), so I am very familiar with Japanese culture. I wanted to go to a place that Japanese people would love, not a tourist-focused place. From the moment I entered, the service was excellent. I was greeted, checked in quickly, then accompanied to my room for explanations of how everything operates. My room was very comfortable. The facilities, including bath area, foot soaking areas, lobby, lounges, etc. - were all clean and comfortable. The lounge next to the lobby was a cozy place to relax, and most of the lounges included food and drink during at least some point of the day. I visited in mid-October so the leaves were changing color and the temperature outside was crisp but not too cold. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. I hope to return again with the rest of my family. Highly recommended!

Excellent location where bus from Sapporo brings you to the doorstep. Great staff service and absolutely delicious Kaiseki dinner n huge array of buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough – it was one of the highlights of our Hokkaido trip! The free shuttle bus service to and from Sapporo Station (both ways) made everything so convenient. No need to worry about taxis or public transport after a long day – just hop on and relax. Super thoughtful and saved us a lot of hassle. The decoration is beautifully traditional Japanese style – think elegant tatami rooms, shoji screens, and that authentic ryokan vibe. It felt very calming and immersive right from check-in. The onsen is absolutely superb! The water quality is excellent, the facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the views (especially the outdoor bath) are stunning – so relaxing after exploring Sapporo or Jozankei area. One of the best onsen experiences I’ve had. Breakfast buffet was a real treat: fresh Hokkaido ingredients shine through, with amazing seafood (uni, salmon roe, sashimi-grade fish), local veggies, and high-quality dishes. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious – perfect way to start the day. They even offer free hot wine and sparkling wine service in the evenings – such a nice touch! We really enjoyed sipping while unwinding. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things. Great value, authentic atmosphere, top-notch onsen, and thoughtful extras. Highly recommended! 🌸♨️

Our stay here is definitely the highlight of our Hokkaido trip! The entire experience was fantastic. From the service, facilities, to the breakfast, lovely shops, and the scenaries around the place was unbeatable! From all the details you can tell they truly care about the business and customer experience. I wished we could stayed longer! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience the oosen and ryogan culture in Japan. Pretty accessible from Sapporo by bus and the hotel has a shuttle bus daily in the morning to Sapporo.

This was my second stay at this onsen hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were generally courteous and helpful, although the receptionist could have been more welcoming, as he did not greet guests with a smile. The facilities were well-maintained, and I particularly enjoyed the night lounge area, where guests could relax with mulled wine, coffee, and fresh grilled apples while enjoying a foot spa. The hotel was clean throughout, and the meals served were fresh and of good quality.

The staff's service was very good. The onsen is very good and relaxing and felt so good on the skin. The food was good both Kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast. The only nagging thing was the cigarette odor in the room.
