Ich habe den Aufenthalt um eine weitere Nacht im Hotel Monterey verlängert, einem anständigen Hotel mit großartigem Service und wunderschöner Dekoration. Das Hotelpersonal ist nett und effizient. Das Zimmer (meines ist ein Standardzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten) ist sauber, mit einer guten und weiten Aussicht (im 21. Stock) und die Matratze und Kissen sind wunderbar. Das Frühstück ist fabelhaft, mit Qualität und einer großen Auswahl an Speisen und bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten.

Love this mid size hotel, easily beats many of the international luxuries brands.... mind you this is not a young hotel, yet everything is well kept and for asian who likes harder beds this is one of the BEST mattress i have slept on. Not to mention the bed linens is of extreme high quality that make the likes of Park Haytt and Conrad feel like cheaps rags.

Good location, convenient to shopping and transportation. Airport shuttle bus stopped just in front of the hotel. Very close to Central JR station, sea food market, time tower and famous shopping streets. It is not surprised that Japanese hotel room is small. However, it is clean (except part of carpets) and silent. Value to recommend.

Good hotel within walking distance to central. Helpful staff willing to help with booking restaurants and golf courses .

Highly recommended 🙆♀️  Take airport bus, stop at the hotel entrance . Location is near to everywhere.

stayed one night and had a very fine stay. The breakfast is really good, and the Japanese take on Central European spa luxury was interesting. The rooms are small, but have everything you need. The bed was a bit short for me (I'm 1.96), but that's the case everywhere in Japan ... Despite my window facing a busy street, there was no noise in the room.

Room is very clean and comfortable . You must try the breakfast and the waffles are great and should not miss.

The hotel has a grand appearance of old Western decorations. The breakfast could have been better in terms of its price.

Triple room was extremely small. The ground is not really carpet but so old that it looks more like foam. Had lots of dirty things stuck in the ground. Reception staff could barely manage a smile, you could tell they hated tourists. It is quite far from the underground tunnel / metro (exit 22) and you will need to walk at least 10 minutes from the nearest exit which is ok in summer but in winter (-5 to -10 degrees) it was really inconvenient for kids. The nearest exit also has 4-5 flights of stairs so you need to get the one with lifts if you have a suitcase - a further 2 blocks away. They have a door through the office building adjacent to the hotel however they have closed this off, not allowing tourists entry through that shortcut lobby despite it being so cold. The hot spring in the hotel requires an extra payment of 2500 each person each time to use which is not clear on booking. The breakfast was excellent however I would not use the hotel again.

Staff were very nice and effective. Excellant service. The decorations inside the hotel were grand and luxurious. Convenient location. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed it very much. Would choose to stay in this hotel again when we visit Sapporo.
