Hana to Alice ist definitiv eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, wenn man in Houhai übernachten möchte. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer mit Meerblick. Die Betten sind bequem und sauber. Es gibt in den Zimmern einen Kühlschrank und alles, was man braucht. Der Pool ist super, schön tief und viel besser als der Strand, an dem es keinen Schatten gibt. Houhai lohnt sich aus unserer Sicht für maximal 3 Tage, der Ort hat zwar Charme, ist aber auch ziemlich schmutzig. Das Hana to Alice ist mit seiner Beach Front Lage sicherlich eine gute Adresse, die Mitarbeiter sind nett, aber der Preis für die Meerblick-Zimmer ist definitiv deutlich zu teuer gemessen an dem, was man geboten bekommt.

Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen Jetzt sind die Homestays fortschrittlicher Das Zimmer ist nicht schallisoliert Das Geräusch beim Treppenauf- und -abgang ist sehr laut Es wird empfohlen, ein Kissen oder etwas anderes unterzubringen.

This is really a lovely room: cosy, with a great view, large balcony with comfortable chairs. Bathroom is perhaps a bit more simple than the rest of the room, but still acceptable. In any case, it's the relaxing vibe that counts most! As for the surroundings, it rather depends on what you're looking for. Different tourists like very different things after all. As for me, I don't care much about surfing or swimming in the sea and I absolutely hate loud noise. I was mainly looking for a quiet relaxing place with beautiful scenery around me, then just stroll around and sit down with a drink and a book to enjoy peace and quiet. I am well aware though that most tourists visiting Hainan have quite different preferences, so I wasn't expecting a perfect match. Actually, during daytime I really loved this place! However, in the evening it turned into a bit more of a party scene with the bar next door playing quite loud music. It's the way it is and that's of course not something the friendly hotel owners can control. I still enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again if the price for a room with private balcony is right! However, I would say that in my opinion 1 or 2 nights is probably enough, because after that the evening noise would start to work on my nerves;-)

Nice hotel, friendly staff. I would recommend to book the room with the seaview to feel the atmosphere of this place. Pros: amazing location, clean and tidy room, nice swimming pool. Cons: loud music from the beach clubs ( but it stops at 11 pm) ; not very convenient beach for the swimming ( low tides every afternoon and you need to walk for a long distance to finally be able to swim, but everything is perfect in the morning as water comes back). Also I don’t know is it pros or cons , depending on your taste , this beach is full of surfers though there are no waves there . If you want to study surfing it would be a good place, but if no, maybe you should choose another location. Also there is a street with cafes and restaurants just near the hotel.

Always nice to stay there since it is at the corner of the infamous Houhai bay and very easy going place without arrogance. Very spacious bathroom in the northside rooms. Downside is no breakfast to offer.

We were there now the 3rd time. It is a nice hotel with very nice lovely rooms. Always choose the one with the sea view. Unfortunalty the beach in front of the hotel is under construction. You can walk down the beach to a nicer area. But all the bars around are not open or also under construction. Maybe in 6 months when they are finished it will be nice again.
