Aris Caves

Our stay at Arise Cave Suites was nothing short of magical! The stunning views were breathtaking and truly captured the essence of Santorini. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights after long days of exploration. Christina was an absolute gem—so hospitable and helpful! She assisted us with our transfers and was always easy to communicate with, making our stay seamless and enjoyable. The luxurious atmosphere of the suites matched the incredible scenery, and the huge balcony offered what I believe to be the best view on the island. This place is exactly what you dream of when you think of Santorini. We can’t wait to return! AMAZING

The perfect location in Oia and the views from EVERY suite there are breathtaking. The rooms are large and each one has a patio and there is also a common area to relax and take in the view from the sea. The best part of this stay was our host, Christina. She was attentive to every detail and took care of all of our transportation and site seeing needs.

Amazing host, incredible view and delightful apartment. Perfect location, in the middle of Oia but half way down the cliff so also very private (good workout getting up the stairs too!) Would recommend Aris Caves to anybody travelling to Santorini.

A fantastic place to stay in Oia. There are only 8 rooms or caves ( formerly fisherman’s dwellings) accessed by climbing down steps from the main pedestrian walkway through the town. The living space is very well thought out,super clean and comfortable. There is a 2 hob cooker and fridge/freezer,useful if you don’t want to go out for all your meals. We had a jacuzzi which felt really luxurious. There are several communal spaces too and we spent most evenings on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea where we had a drink before heading out for a meal. We felt like millionaires. The hosts Christina and Anna are lovely; nothing was too much trouble during our stay. Fabulous.

Staying here in Oia was the highlight our trip and was everything I'd hoped Santorini would be. Staff were wonderful. Sitting on the balcony/hot tub was bliss. Note the many stairs to get up/down. The pizza place at the top of the stairs was great!

Wow! What wonderful & unique accommodation. We were welcomed by both the Porter, who very kindly carried our 22kg suitcase along the cobbled streets & down the 100+ steps to our room and by Christina, the owner, who is just SO Lovely & Accommodating. Our accomodation had outdoor seating (table & chairs), Shaded Loungers, Sheltered/covered Hottub (the shelter was fab as the evenings were very windy), Bathroom with complimentary toiletries & towels, choice of pillows, indoor dining table & chairs, wardrobe with plenty hangers, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, safe and a fully equipped Kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee pod machine, coffee percolator & everything you’d expect utensil & tableware wise. The room was serviced every day with fresh towels available as required. The room has air conditioning. Rooms 1-4 still have steps down to them but not as many as rooms 5-8. The steps could be an issue to anyone with severe walking problems, otherwise they are what provides the unique location & positioning within the cliff face of the island. Oia is a very beautiful town, full of shops, restaurants & hotels. There is a beautiful walk down 266 steps to the harbour where there are several fish restaurants. This can also be accessed by car. We also loved the 10km hike from Oia to Fira along the cliff top, over looking the villages & sea. The scenery is stunning! If you do this walk, either or both directions, you must stop at Confetti Boutique Bakery in Imerovigli. This belongs to Christina’s sister. We had such a wonderful breakfast that after our walk around Fira, we decided to return for lunch before hiking back. I would highly recommend a winery tour to sightsee the island while trying the local wine. We also loved the e-bike tour which allowed us to get off the main roads and cover off road terrain & sightsee further into villages, up the mountain & along the beach. Our favourite restaurants etc in Oia were, KooKoo (on the main road) for Breakfast, Lunch & drinks. Paradox (on the main road) for Thai & Chinese. Karma & Kyprida (live Greek music Sat & Wed) for Greek, Sphinx for more fine dining and Pitogyros for gyros (you have to wait on a table usually but it’s worth it!). Don’t hesitate to book this accommodation, it’s lovely & super clean, right in the heart of Oia!
