Aghios Artemios Traditional Houses

The staff there were so nice and helpful. The property itself is so amazing. The owner of the property provided us with a historical background about the property upon our arrival. She explained to us how the property is 600 years old and how they turned this property that has been in the owner’s husband’s family possession for all these years into a hotel 17 years ago. If you are looking for an authentic Santorini place to stay with welcoming and friendly staff this is your place to stay. I do not regret having stayed at this beautiful property. The only thing that is staying on this property is it is in your best interest to have a rent a car. Getting around without one can be challenging, but the hotel does inform you about this in an e-mail as soon as you book. There is nothing nearby and they do have parking on site. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Thankfully the breakfast was European style. I am glad that they did not adjust to tourists and provide guests with the typical American breakfast. I can have that at home. The only thing was that the coffee and eggs were always cold, no matter what time we ate breakfast. That would be my one and only complaint. They also have a restaurant that offers Greek cuisine. The food there was amazing too. While staying at the hotel we also did a flying dress photoshoot, since the property does have a church with a blue dome. However, the blue color of the dome is light blue, which we will photoshop. We talked to the owner about this, and she said they will paint the church dome dark blue to make this property even more precious and a great site to take pictures, especially if you are trying to eliminate the crowds at Oia. Great memories were made of this stunning gem of a property. We celebrated two birthdays there and my man proposed to me at his property. For us, this stay was one of a kind.

Really nice place. Great owners. Good breakfast. Will arrange airport transfers snd rental car. Reasonable rates. Ask Yvonne to make reservations at Metaxi Mas…best restaurant on the island. She will get you a great table.

Very nice hotel. The hotel in overall is really nice, white and blue buildings. Really nice pool area, where there is a bar/restaurant so you can order all the time. You also get blue towels from the hotel when you are at the pool. There is a small church there. The view is also nice where you can see the sea. The room had a special decoration like it was a small cave. It was really nice. The stuff were very friendly and welcoming. Yvonne helped us a lot and made our stay even more special with small surprises. The breakfast was okay. You are given a list where you choose what you want and you get that the rest of your stay. There is no buffet. The hotel is a bit far from the center, airport, port. You need to have some kind of a vehicle. I would definitely recommend someone to stay there. Suitable for families, couples, friends.

What can i say? The Hotel is a very picturesque place to stay. Its an old church thats been fantastically renovated into a hotel/apartments. The location is not too far to Fira and Oia and Kamari but i do recommend to hire a car as taxis range from 25- 35 euros a journey. Food is very good and the staff are very friendly too. The pool is a perfect size and the complex is generally clean. The cleaning staff are very good and regularly clean your rooms daily. Evon who is the owner of the complex was wonderful to us. She helped us with everything from places to see to ordering taxis to even giving us a lift to Oia. She constantly worked tirelessly throughout the week and We cannot thank her and her staff enough. Now onto the other half of our stay.... If you do not like cats (lots of them) wanting to be fed especially at breakfast time, then I'd avoid this place (it did not bother us as we are animal lovers and loved feeding the cats) Breakfast is a set menu so once you arrive at breakfast you have to fill out a sheet on what you want. But be careful, this is what you have everyday so choose wisely. If you are dependent on the WIFI, yhen this place is not for you. The WiFi is not the greatest around the grounds and you'll need another password for the pool area to connect. The WiFi is also non existent in your cave like rooms. So once you go inside, the reception disappears, and you cannot make/receive calls. And now onto what made our stay uncomfortable.... Once the husband arrived onto the complex after having 4 beautiful days, he immediately made us feel unwelcome. He constantly avoided us and did not make any attempt to welcome us when we crossed paths. He constantly made an effort to the Italians and swiss families even talking in their native languages and even sitting with them. He even told us we were not allowed to hang around outside our caves as it was a "communal area" and "sigular" (what ever that meant) Its just a shame really as we would of come back to this place if it was not for him.

Hôtel dans un village troglodyte complètement dépaysant ! Personnel très accueillant et disponible pour d éventuels service type location de voiture ! Nourriture traditionnelle à prix raisonnable et devant une piscine surplombant la mer. Chambre atypique très propre, literie nickel et extérieur très bien entretenu !
