This is a budget hotel, so please manage your expectations accordingly. Check-in time is at 2:00 PM, and we arrived around 12:15 PM. We asked the reception if early check-in could be accommodated for free, but we were informed that access to the room before 2:00 PM would require an additional charge of PHP 500, which is almost half of the room rate. Since we were tired, we agreed and paid the fee.
Unfortunately, the room had poor sound insulation. We could clearly hear construction noise, children shouting in the hallway, and guests talking loudly while passing by the room, which made it difficult to rest properly. The pillows are also very thin, only having 1 pillow per person and they charge 100 pesos for an extra pillow.
We attended an event nearby and returned to the hotel around 9:00 PM. At that time, we requested a late checkout, which was charged at PHP 200 per hour. We extended for 2 hours and immediately paid PHP 400 in advance so we could rest longer the next day.
The following morning, my partner went out around 8:00 AM and reminded the reception staff that our checkout had been extended until 2:00 PM. It was the same staff member who accepted our payment the previous evening. However, at around 12:15 PM, we were awakened by another reception staff asking whether we intended to extend our stay. It seemed that the late checkout arrangement was not properly endorsed to the next shift, which unfortunately defeated the purpose of paying extra for additional rest time.
