Pirates Village

We have been to Pirates Village 3 times now and are booked again for May and Oct 2025. Had 2 trips 4 weeks apart this year, end of Sept and end of Oct for Halloween. We always book a terrace apartment and request a particular side of the hotel…..they always do their best to accommodate this. The hotel itself is fantastic, the decor is amazing and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. We always go selfcatering as this suits us best. Santa Ponsa has so many great bars and restaurants that we like to explore every day. The Eroski supermarket next door is super handy for stocking up on essentials. The pools are other facilities are brilliant, some of the best we have had. The Pirate entertainment is off the scale, so unbelievably good. You wouldn’t get it anywhere else. The rooms are basic, clean but basic. We always book direct with the hotel so don’t pay the crazy prices some tour operators charge. If I paid thousands to go, I would be disappointed at the rooms, but for the price we pay, they are more than acceptable. We are a family of 5, our oldest has SEN and is technically classed as an adult, Pirates is one of the few hotels that do a room for 3 adults and 2 children so really suits us. Cannot wait to May 2025. Ps Halloween is AMAZING there

Great for kids pools were fab and the kids loved it Food ok always something to choose but dining room could be busy and not enough tables Room tired in need of decorating and bathroom not that private could have done with a separate toilet especially as there was 6 of us

The shows in the evenings were amazing and really a surprise to us. We all enjoyed the funny and interactive shows everyday. Room is clean, though the blanket may need washing as we had few bit marks every night. Room can be well maintained as we could see it’s not very new. BBQ and pizza making sections were our favourite in the buffet while more variety of desserts would be great. Overall we had a nice break there.

Lovely half term break away with my family staying at pirates village. This was our second trip here having visited before in Oct 2022. The hotel is great for families with children. There is lots to do and the shows are fun. They turned the kids pool red for Halloween this year which was a cool touch! The main pool is absolutely freezing - takes some getting used to! Probably lovely in the height of summer to cool off but a little uncomfortable during October when the temperatures have dropped. The food is decent for buffet style eating, we are breakfast and lunch here most days then ventured out for our evening meal. There was decent variety but some things were mislabelled so that’s something to watch out for especially with allergies. We also found on a few occasions dishes, cups, cutlery etc were slow to be replenished and you had to stand around waiting, also had to clear a table on a few occasions in order to sit down, not too big a deal but would have been better if there were more staff to attend to these things. Surrounding area is lovely - lots of shops, bars, restaurants etc and the beach is only a 5 minute walk away. We love the area and no doubt will return again for another trip at some stage

Great to spoil under 8 years old. They loved it, having food they were not allowed at home. They loved their entertainment in the evening and younger children liked the kids club. Great to have early nights too for everyone and kids were not up too early in the morning

Had a good time here. The shows were very good and nice to see their own shows rather than the generic shows that do the rounds around different hotels. The pirate water fight was good fun where the take on all of the guests. This hotel is brilliant for kids and they will be entertained all the time. The food was good but restaurant is slightly on the small side if it rains as the outside bit can't be used. We went for Halloween and the decorated everything which was a nice touch. The rooms are a good size and decent enough so no complaints. The staff are brilliant towards the kids and I would rate them 10 out of 10. They always engage and always with a smile. They never once looked like it was a chore.
