Our stay at Casa De Campo Castillete in Tayrona National Park was absolutely exceptional. The campsite is undergoing impressive renovations and cleanup efforts, and the level of service provided was outstanding. The pristine beach, while featuring some rocky areas, was breathtaking. Water shoes and bug spray are recommended for exploring. The pool area, with a nice sized pool, offered stunning views and was a perfect spot to relax. Located within Tayrona National Park, the campsite's proximity to a swimmable beach just 40 minutes away was convenient. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to the trailhead for La Picina/Cabo San Juan Del Guia, both within walking distance (less than 1 mile). The approximately 10.5-mile round trip hike to Cabo San Juan from the campground was enjoyable for our group, including seven children aged 5-14. The on-site restaurant was convenient, we liked the Lulo juice, salad, Alfredo pasta, hamburgers, and fries. The complimentary breakfast of eggs, fruit, and arepas was satisfying. While there was no wifi during our stay, the Tortuga room we occupied was impeccably clean and well-equipped with towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Note that as a campground, there is no hot water in the showers, but the campsite provided a comfortable experience overall. Ceiling-mounted fans in the room provided additional comfort. The beds were comfortable, with real mattresses on the big beds and firmer pads on the single beds with clean linens. Alejandro at the restaurant provided excellent service, but be prepared for great service that also takes time. Overall, Casa De Campo Castillete is situated in paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would eagerly return for another unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
