The Hotel metropole is in a good location just a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants and centre of Santa Margherita Ligure. The hotel has parking although it’s quite expensive what’s good is you don’t have to worry about parking you leave your keys with reception and they will sort it out for you. When we left the concierge brought the car to hotel front door for us which was a nice thing to do. The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool and you can also use the indoor pool, sauna and steam room in the spa you just need to book a slot. We were told the slot was for an hour but we weren’t hurried at all. The gardens are really well kept and look amazing. There is also a sunbathing area right on the sea with access to swim in the sea as well. Our room was really clean and well maintained and some traditional features had been kept which helped with character of the room. The room overlooked the pool and garden and had a spacious balcony to sit and admire the view. The hotel includes breakfast which was a good selection and kept well topped up and provided a good start to the day. The hotel has a nice restaurant although we didn’t eat there the menu had a good choice and there is a bar down by the sea which was nice for drinks. Santa Margherita is a lovely town with lots of shops and restaurants and you can get the ferry to Portofino and Rapallo. We walked to Portofino which took about 1hr walking slowly and has great views along the way.

We stayed at this hotel as a family. Wife, 10 year old son and me. The room was lovely, the location was ideal, the building is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. I have stayed in some amazing hotels around the world but the old school charm of this establishment has totally won me over. Nothing was too much trouble, when my son required a doctor the staff in reception organised everything. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will almost certainly be back.

Unser Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und die Lage im 4. Stock war großartig! Das Zimmer war als Zimmer mit Gartenblick angegeben, aber von unserer schönen Terrasse aus hatten wir definitiv teilweisen Meerblick! Wir fanden es toll, eine Terrasse mit Tisch, 2 Stühlen, zwei Liegestühlen und einer Markise mit Fernbedienung zu haben, um bei Bedarf Schatten zu spenden! Das Bett war sehr komfortabel und das Badezimmer war schön. Das Personal an der Rezeption und das Personal im Essbereich waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Frühstücksauswahl war vielfältig und gut. Wir haben den Pool auf dem Dach, die Liegestühle oder den Whirlpool nicht genutzt, aber es sah lustig aus. Wir sind auch nicht geschwommen oder haben den Privatstrand benutzt; der Preis von 50 Euro für 2 Liegestühle und einen Sonnenschirm schien etwas teuer. Wir waren uns nicht sicher, ob wir dorthin hätten gehen können, um einfach nur zu sitzen und etwas zu trinken, ohne eine Gebühr zu zahlen. Wir hätten fragen sollen. Das Hotel liegt etwa 20 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt und es gibt auf einem kleinen Abschnitt in der Nähe des Hotels keine Bürgersteige, sodass Sie auf die Wasserseite der Straße wechseln und dann wieder hinübergehen müssen. Die Stadtbusse vom Bahnhof scheinen immer sehr, sehr voll zu sein, so dass die Nutzung des Busses mit Gepäck fast unmöglich gewesen wäre.

We have just left this hotel after a 14 day holiday which was wonderful.The view over the busy harbour from our 3rd floor balcony was fantastic and so interesting.The balcony was small as was the room but you got used to these.We did look at a larger room with a terrace on the 1st floor but the view was not as good and the extra charge was quite high so decided our high view was better. The bathroom was a decent size and a good shower.Toiletries provided on arrival but not replenished.Shower gel was replaced.Our air conditioning was not working too good however this was fixed when reported.More hangers supplied for the wardrobe.We put our cases on top of the wardrobe which was dusty. The breakfast from 7.30 to 10.30 was very good and lots to choose from and sufficient for our needs.The staff in the breakfast room were pleasant and helpful.There is also a larger breakfast room for eg families. The front desk staff were very helpful at all times eg suggesting where to visit.One lady in particular was fantastic offering where to visit if you have been to the main attraction eg Rapallo funicular.I am sorry but I have forgotten your name.Staff also helpful signing for our case which was lost for 24 hours. The hotel is in the centre so near the ferry,shops, restaurants,train station and beach etc so never far from anything. The owners are Paola and Stefano who are charming.They chatted to us frequently asking if we were enjoying ourselves etc and suggesting places of interest.We ordered a bottle of rose wine for my husband's birthday which arrived with a tray of nibbles and on settling the bill we were told this was a gift and no charge.Paola also gave us a lovely gift to take on our next holiday which was very thoughtful. This is a family business as the owners two daughters also work in the breakfast room and they were lovely. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend this hotel.

das BLU DI TE ist ein ganz wundervolles designhotel......gleich beim betreten des hauses fühlt man die besondere atmosphäre dieses ortes..... hübsche und liebevoll dekorierte zimmer mit komfortablem bett.....kleinem balkon....bademantel und tollen pflegeprodukten..... traumhafte dachterrasse mit pool.....wunderschön und liebevoll mit palmen, eukalyptus, kräurern und gemüse bepflanzt.....hier gibt es auch leckeres light lunch und getränke das frühstücksbuffet ist eine augenweide und lässt keine wünsche offen.....ein mehr als perfekter start in den tag.... ausgesprochen liebes und hilfsbereites personal in allen bereichen..... das BLU DI TE ist eine absolute empfehlung....ein haus.....wunderschön und mit seele.....herzlichen dank für alles!

Charming hotel with an excellent staff. We stayed for one night, came to the hotel and checked in our rooms. One of the rooms had a broken a/c. The front desk told us to carry on with our day and go out like we wanted to and they will fix it. We wanted to go to the beach and asked for beach towels, we had no 5 euros on us for the security deposit and offered to pay in American dollars and they said it’s okay no need to pay but please bring them back and have us the towels and when they saw that we had no beach bag they gave us the towels on a beach bag. We came back to a different room because they couldn’t fix the ac in the first room. They sent a staff member to help us move our luggage. The second room had a broken ac as well so we told them on our way out and when we came back at the end of the night they told us to go check and if we need a new room we can leave our luggage in the room and just go sleep in a new room that has a good ac! They were very accommodating and eager to please. The breakfast was good. Loved the staff and how kind they were. We will be back God willing.

Hotel in die Jahre gekommen, Einrichtung altmodisch, wenn nicht last Minute, dann völlig überrissene Preise für alte und schmuddlige Zimmer. Obwohl wir im Voraus über die hoteleigene Buchungsplattform gebucht haben und spezielle Wünsche angebracht hatten, konnten diese nicht erfüllt werden, im Gegenteil sogar: die Zimmer erfüllten gerade diejenigen Voraussetzungen, die wir ausdrücklich nicht wollten (gewünscht hatten wir ruhige Zimmer, nicht direkt neben Lift und ruhig: Angeboten wurde uns Zimmer 22 mit Terrasse welche direkt an die Restaurantterrasse angrenzt, als Alternative dann Zimmer 304, neben dem Lift (der mit lautem ”Pling...” haltet und 12 m2, für 530 Euro.) Wir wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass unsere Wünsche ja nicht bestätigt worden waren. Aber wäre es nicht kundenfreundlich, uns darauf hinzuweisen, dass diese nicht erfüllt werden können? Vor allem, weil uns das Hotel mitgeteilt hat, dass bereits zum Zeitpunkt unserer Buchung nur noch diese zwei Zimmer frei waren. Dann hätten wir noch die Chance gehabt zu stornieren. Hotel scheint vor allem bei Pauschalreisenden und Carfahrten beliebt zu sein. Entsprechend ist das Publikum. Personal an der Rezeption genervt und unpersönlich. Ich erwarte mehr, wenn ich für ein Zimmer über 500 Euro zahle. Lage und Garten top. Aber das ist alles.

Gelungener Urlaub. Entspannung im Meerwasserpool. Strandpromenade mit Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Zimmer war sehr groß mit Terasse und einem wunderschönen Ausblick aufs Meer. Hotelpersonal sehr freundlich. Man könnte das Hotel eventuell mit Thrmenabenden noch attraktiver machen. Der Platz wäre vorhanden. Getränkepreise sind etwas teuer. Ein wirklich kleiner Aperol Spritz 10€. Cola klein 5€ Hotelparkplatz kostet 15€ pro Tag. Verstehe nicht warum man das extra zahlen muss, gehört ja zum Hotel dazu.
