Forte Village Resort - Pineta

Please read before booking. We wish we had. The bad and reason for 2 star review is that we booked and paid 5 star prices, but the accommodation, food and ambiance is 3 star at best. The good. The range of activities. The sports academy was excellent. The u club excellent. The football academy was excellent. The staff we met were very very good. They and the customers are being let down by the resort. Why? Well, the whole resort is very tired. The worst accommodation we have stayed in. The buildings of Pineta are badly in need of renovation. Our building had flaking paint and broken/rotting wood. The interiors were utilitarian, basic, worn, out dated and cheap. Not the luxury 5 star accommodation we expected. We were so disappointed. We paid £7,000 for 7 nights. Unfortunately the room reflected pretty much the full resort. Restaurants - Pineta. Decor tired. Outside buffet restaurant. Food uncovered. Food nice. Open to flies and wasps. Staff very nice. Free wine and water. Sardo. Waiter service. Decor poor. Food not really to our taste, but nice. Staff lovely. Forte Grill. Food good. Decor poor. Staff lovely. Oasis for breakfast. Very poor experience. Buffet, open to outdoors. Food okay, but not covered. Flies everywhere. All over food. Not enough tables and we were there before the English holidays started. Often we had to sit in the sun, as all tables in shade were full. Pools - pineta. Tiny pool. Dirty glass round pool. No bar. Just fridge to buy drinks. Felt more like a decorative pond than pool. Oasis pool. Large pool with bar. However. Glass dirty. Pool not clean. Sand often round bottom. Weeds growing up round tiles and glass. Hard to get lounger in gazebo, so often no shade as no umbrellas. Drinks - extremely expensive. This would be fine if we felt the resort was 5 star. But we were paying 20 euros for a glass of whispering angel in a restaurant that didn’t support that kind of price. We found that really hard. Public toilets - the ladies were fine. Dated but staff seem to clean. The men’s were terrible. The smell of urine hit you as you walked by. I was shocked. We felt badly about our holiday. We work hard and paid a lot of money and the resort was not as it looks in the pictures. This was so disappointing. The good was the staff. They are mostly young and trying. But they are let down by the quality of the resort. Our son loved the u club. Matteo and Margarite are a credit to the company. The football academy was excellent. Staff lovely and set up very good. Bikes good and concierge at bikes very nice man. We will not return and not recommend. Wish we’d went on a cruise.

Quest’anno è stata la a seconda volta che sono ritornata in questo villaggio che dicono essere il più bello del mondo (nel loro spot pubblicitario che va in onda la sera in piazza Luisa). Purtroppo, a malincuore, devo dire che ho avuto grandi problemi con l’alimentazione. E, la cosa “divertente” (se così vogliamo dire), è che siamo tornati in questo posto PROPRIO PER L’ALIMENTAZIONE !! Essendo stata trattata l’anno scorso quasi come una regina dallo chef. Abbiamo deciso di tornare in questa struttura a causa di problemi di salute subentrati quest’inverno dovuti alla mia alimentazione e quindi ci siamo detti: mare bello, alimentazione per me perfetta, torniamo li…e Zac la sola… chissà cosa sarà cambiato dall’anno scorso a quest’anno, ma ho trovato gente impreparata , pochi alimenti, dopo varie sollecitazioni ho trovato qualcosa in più del pane a colazione (alla fine della vacanza dopo ben 15 gg davano anke torta di cioccolato e carota ..). Parliamo del buffet serale..lo chef (o quello che si fa chiamare chef ), sostiene che posso mangiare tutti i secondi , per BEN DUE VOLTE, in maniera sgarbata e anke aggressiva me lo ha specificato che IO POTEVO MANGIARE TRUTTI I SECONDI….quindi per lui io avrei potuto mangiare le fritture anke…serate di frittura dove il celiaco può mangiare o la carne cruda che c’è al buffet e te la fai piacere o un piatto di pasta al sugo (se non vuoi avvelenarti con le fritture che naturalmente I CELIACI NON POSSONO MANGIARE). Alla fine io da sola mi sono autogestita. Dopo qualche giorno subentra un maitre iper stra gentile che addirittura mi fa arrivare un dolce senza glutine a cena a tavola…ultima sera..scusi il dolce ? Eh no c’è il concerto lì abbiamo finiti ..e questa solo una delle risposte che denotano disorganizzazione (anke al ristorante bellavista finiscono l’impasto delle pizze senza glutine ..bah ), gestione sbagliata e attenzione al cliente celiaco pari al nulla cosmico. Voglio precisare che ho notato un divario tra gente MOLTO COMPETENTE , preparata e gentile e faccio anke i nomi ( il maitre del Bellavista e il maitre Sorrentino del Pineta), e poi una voragine di gente incompetente, sgarbata e che fa male il proprio lavoro e poi i ragazzini che non sanno neanche aprire una bottiglia di vino e che vengono a toglierti il piatto davanti mentre stai ancora finendo di mangiare. Deve essere cambiato qualcosa dall’anno scorso a quest’anno, altrimenti non si spiega questo divario di trattamento e di gestione. Ho fatto notare solo all’inizio della mia permanenza un paio di volte le problematiche in direzione..poi però sono stata zitta perchè ho capito che era inutile . Ricordo che stiamo parlando di una struttura a 5 stelle ben pagate anke. Detto ciò dico solo celiaci fate attenzione
