The property is in need of same care and attention. For example, our suite had a sleeper sofa with disgusting stains on the cushions, the balcony had no furniture ( though there were rust marks on the balcony where I assume furniture once sat), the pool and jacuzzi were closed.
Staff, while polite, seemed to lack the authority to accommodate requests. For example, we requested moving to a lower floor due to someone on our party having a phobia of elevators. We were told that we paid for an upgraded room with a balcony and the lower floors didn’t offer that amenity. We told staff that we were quite happy to take the downgrade for the same fee. Staff insisted that because we booked through a third party, they couldn’t do that. What the could do is cancel our reservation with ******* and charge us the maker rate for the downgrade which was $100 MORE than what we paid through *******!!!
We ended up paying extra for the balcony but had no way to enjoy it since there was no furniture.
Finally, we were supposed to have a king size bed and ended up with a queen.
Total disappointment in spite of its good reviews.
