Huttopia Southern Maine

Overall, great place! the accommodations are lovely and well equipped. The area is peaceful and the pond is very pretty. Loved our BBQ and firepit. However, bring your own food or eat out. Food was abysmal and we had to wait over an hour in the morning for 2 crepes that were awful. We never ate there again.

This was the first time we went to huttopia and we were very pleased. The room was very nice and enough beds to fit my family of five comfortably. The staff are very energetic and nice. They are also very flexible. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, sandwiches and smoothies are definitely will be a must try. We will definitely come back year after year!

My wife and I have a 2 and 3 year old traveling with my mother in law for a long weekend to Huttopia. We stayed in a Vista (#13). First I will say our stay was amazing! The one misleading thing was (location) proximity to the lake. We thought we would be right on the lake. In retrospect, our cabin was located pretty close to the lake but not lakeside. We were actually happier in our location as many go to the lake to have fun and laugh... which would have disturbed naptime. So the location ended up working perfectly for us. The Vista had all of the accommodations we needed to keep our kids comfy and fed. The beds were super comfy. Loved that the windows opened two different ways to allow the perfect cross breeze. The kitchen was stocked with enough (pots/pans/plates& utensils). Loved that the sliding doors gave us even more floor space for the kids to play. The staff is beyond amazing! Everyone is super helpful and accommodating. They offered arts and crafts foe the kids and have an amazing place to eat. I recommend the smoothies! What a cool and flavorful treat to beat the heat. They have a small on-site store with things to eat (like supplies for smores... which I forgot). They stock shirts, wine... you name it! They had paddle boards and canoes as well. We didn't use these amenities as our little ones weren't ready for that. The equipment looked to be in pretty good condition but again, we didn't use them. They had plenty of carts in the parking lot for you to use to transport your things to your accommodations. Although I will say the carts got scarce later in the day. Our overall rating is VERY HIGH! We will be going back! WARNING: Vistas do not have AC. I recommend LARGE box fan. We brought two smaller personal fans... thats NOT enough. I hope this helps! Btw, if you forget something and Huttopia doesn't have it... Walmart is VERY close by! The box fans were around $20-$25... WORTH IT!!! We got 1 for each room.
