Good in general, but too expensive

Convenient place, very close to the beach.

Sehr gute Lage. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen. Einzig die Parkplatz Situation ist herausfordernd, da wir leider keinen Platz in der Hotelgarage ergattern konnten.

Wir haben genossen, eines der wenigen Zimmer mit Dachterrasse bekommen zu haben, allerdings sind die Zimmerpreise in San Sebastian auch fürstlich. Mit Zimmer und Frühstück waren wir rundum zufrieden. Zum Check-In muss man mit dem Auto auf dem (vor dem Hotel breiten) Fußweg parken, bevor man in die Tiefgarage eingewiesen wird.

Nicht‘s außergewöhnliches. Frühstücksraum eher klein. Mussten warten bis ein Platz frei wurde. Autoparkplatz direkt unter dem Hotel.

Wir sind mit Hund angereist. Das kostete 30€ extra. War es mir aber wert. Der Hund hatte ein eigenes Körbchen, Näpfe und Spielzeug. Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Das Badezimmer ist für breitgebaute Menschen etwas schmal.

Wir wurden alle inkl. unserem kleinen Hund herzlich empfangen und freundlich betreut. Garage inkl. Tesla Ladestationen waren vorhanden und haben funktioniert auch wenn Ladeleistung etwas mehr sein dürfte ;-)

This was a first time stay with this chain and it was a wonddrful experience. Our guest arrived hours before we did and my email request to give her access to her room was granted. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and well appointed. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the beach. The parking garage was full but street parking was easy to find within a few blocks for 3.85 euros for 24 hours starting at 8 am. The buffet breakfast was fine. I definitely recommend this very nice hotel.

Worst stay in 10 years of travelling around the world. Do not waste your money, time or energy. Having booked a 9 night stay for a well earned summer holiday we were tricked into expecting a 4* hotel, standards and service. We have received none of the above and in contrast I’ve stayed in 2* in my student days that were better than this. A tiny room with no storage except a small cupboard with 4 hangers. 2 twin beds shoved together and no basic facilities to make a comfortable stay at a 4*. They say the rooms are soundproofed- don’t believe them. We can hear everything from the rooms around us and it’s noisy! To top it off the staff are unfriendly and robotic. It’s like they’ve never been told about the importance of customer service for guests. Having spent 3 of the 9 nights here- we have been forced to find alternative accommodation to actually enjoy the rest of our holiday. The staff are completely unconcerned about the unhappiness and dissatisfaction of their guests and just say “No” to everything. I will never stay at Hotel Ilunion again and I’ll ensure all my network are also aware to not make the same mistake.

We booked on the basis of advertised good room size and soundproofing. We got neither. The room we had was very small and very noisy. It felt like we were in a shoe box with a corridor on 2 sides. We could hear people within inches of our heads when in bed. Very disappointed and left earlier then planned.

Good location for the beach- 25 minutes walk into old town or take the bus. Nice reception area to sit in. Breakfast was good however it does get busy. Room was a good size and clean although did overlook a building and walkway at the back. Lunch was good value and service was good.
