Posada de la Aldea

We stayed at this well located hotel three nights. It was advertised as having a swimming pool, but the cover was on the whole time. We also could never find the gym, also advertised. The room was spacious enough, and we loved the beautifully tiled shower. There were no cups or glasses the entire time we were here. Breakfast was definitely not good. One day we did have handmade corn tortillas and the omelettes were good at the omelette station. But other than that, the pickings were pretty slim. However, good coffee.

The hotel has the appearance of an old hacienda with a lovely grounds, although is is not old, which makes it very functional. They serve an adequate breakfast, although no lunch, dinner or regular bar. Because of the proximity to the central district, this was not a problem. Nice pool & gym. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The location and setting are the main assets, close enough to the historic center to make walking easy and far enough away to be quiet. We enjoyed the hotel and would stay again.

This is a lovely hotel (looks like a converted hacienda) walking distance from central San Miguel de Allende. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. I enjoyed their buffet breakfasts with the hand-made tortillas and egg chef. I had room 209, which was had a nice view of the gardens. Room has everything needed, but I am glad I bought an extension cord to have extra outlets near the bed. TV includes cable, many movie channels and CNN and BBC. Bathrooms are nice size and nicely appointed. The hotel has excellent wi-fi along with a friendly and helpful reception staff. There is also pool, and a spa with some services. About San Miguel de Allende... bring shoes with thick soles as the cobblestone streets are murder on the feet.

Spent two nights with a small tour group. Inn has a wonderful charm, serenity and beautiful grounds. Rooms are similar to lodge at a US national park-basic. No coffee maker or mini-frig. Spotless rooms. Safety deposit box requires a key. I was afraid that I would lose it. Very attentive staff. Location is very close to 24 "Drug Store" which has snacks/drinks etc. Easy walk into city highlights and score of cafes/dining options.

This hotel is charming, clean, and reasonably well-located to the Centro Historico. The food (breakfasts and one dinner) were very mediocre. Our toilet clogged every day we were there (and no, we didn't flush toilet tissue.) The safe also didn't work. We had to get an override key form the desk, which basically defeats the purpose....

Muy bonito hotel muy cerca del centro de San Miguel de Allende y en un lugar tranquilo, excelentes habitaciones. No duden en hospedarse en este lugar. Nos la pasamos excelente, a sus alrededores encuentran de todo, desde restaurantes hasta farmacias.

La arquitectura del lugar es antigua, los jardines son muy amplios, cuenta con alberca y tienen estacionamiento propio sin costo extra, además está céntrico a unas calles de la catedral, muy bien ubicado en el barrio de la aldea y el personal muy amable

Muy hermoso hotel, se me hizo muy limpio, muy pintoresco, con mucha naturaleza, tiene jardines muy bonitos donde podrías hasta hacer una sesión de fotos, comimos en el restaurante el buffet de desayuno y está todo muy rico, si vale la pena porque si aguantas un buen para ver todo SMA, lo único no tan padre es que el bar no está abierto en la noche pero estuvo genial que nos ofrecieran que personal del hotel fuera a traernos cerveza de afuera, le damos 5/5 estrellas por todo ello.
