Auf den ersten Blick ist dieses Hotel sehr schön. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Poolanlage groß. Allerdings ist alles etwas veraltet. Die Zimmer sind elegant gehalten und großzügig geschnitten. Tolles Hotel...zentral gelegen mit gutem Essen und freundlichem Service. 10 min bis zum Zentrum.

As a Hilton Diamond member I found this one of the best that we've stayed at. The property is very modern with excellent amenities. The lounge and restaurant, for breakfast in particular, are spectacular. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Our family had a 2 bed 1 bath apartment style unit, and it was a great amount of space. We were there for about a week and felt very homey. The breakfast every morning was absolutely fantastic, and the freshly made omelettes were delicious. Its location is fantastic as a lot of tour companies can pick up from there and a lot of fast food options nearby. The park nearby is very active, and the National soccer stadium is very close by, too. The staff is absolutely wonderful as well Sergio was amazing, as I had left something very dear to me behind on my last day, and he assured me that it would be reached back home to me and followed through with his promise. Tamara was an amazing help as well. She helped me book a couple of tours and recommended gorgeous sites to see! Overall 100/10 experience at Suites Cristina and I will definitely be staying there next time.

Nach 2 Wochen in Costa Rica haben wir auf der Durchreise das Hotel Balmoral gebucht. Es war super schön, ein großes bequemes Bett. Ein sauberes und gutes Badezimmer. Alles ordentlich und sauber. Es gab sogar einen großen und leisen Kühlschrank. Zum Frühstück haben wir das Omelett gewählt welches auch sehr gut war. Für uns gibt es überhaupt nichts zu bemängeln.

Dieser Ort war gut für das Geld. Wir verbrachten unsere letzte Nacht hier in Costa Rica. Wir blieben im Kingsgrößenzimmer und es gab auch zwei Einzelbetten. Es war sehr geräumig und sauber mit vielen Fenstern. Gutes WLAN und komfortables Bett. Viele der Gäste waren junge Reisende, so sieht es aus wie ein Hostel. Die jungen Frauen auf dem Desk waren angenehmen. Die Wände sind dünn und wir konnten jedes Wort von unseren Nachbarn hören sagen, aber es ruhig um 11 Uhr. Ich würde diesen Ort empfehlen.

Undiscovered gem of a hotel near San Pedro. Pros: We were looking for a place on the lower end of the price spectrum that was a one night romantic getaway for two, that I could also use my free trip coins at toward the cost of the room. Preferably including breakfast and a swimming pool with jacuzzi 😉 Not much to ask! We booked one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor. Before check in we took an Uber to San Pedro mall to do some essential shopping and see a movie. Then we checked in and I relaxed in the jacuzzi under the San José night sky while my husband enjoyed a full workout in the gym/weights room. TV with cable was great for my husband who enjoyed the football while I enjoyed the hot shower and relaxed in the bed afterwards. We had an amazingly comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning of gallo pinto, fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed watermelon juice and hot coffee. A generous check out time of 12pm meant we had more than enough time to get our things together and leave when it suited. Cons: Not many cons at this price point and value. The guy at the desk was a bit weird when we asked him for a second glass for water as there was only one in the room but not a big deal. We also had to ask him for the TV remote. The towels were a bit small like a mini dress on me after my shower. But good quality (with a third extra towel for the jacuzzi) and high quality bed linen. It also is in a slightly rough looking neighborhood but this is not a problem if you travel to and from the hotel by Uber or use a hire car (which you can park privately inside the property). Overall impression: The other photos on trip.com and similar booking sites do not do this hotel justice - it looks far better in person. It has real character since it is a restored historic hotel from an era bygone, but that is why everything is such high quality from the bed linen to the floor tiles. Everything is also in good shape and freshly painted. There a little hidden nooks around the hotel that make it very charming. The breakfast area is lovely and the jacuzzi, pool and water slide were a real highlight. We WILL be back.

Ein fantastisches Ankunftserlebnis in Costa Rica. Willkommen von der Rezeption, das Essen, die Einrichtungen, der Komfort und die Sauberkeit der Zimmer. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbuffet. Highlight ist die umfangreichen Gärten, die zu viele Vögeln zu Hause ist, großartig, wenn Sie in Vogelfotografie sind.

Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von San Jose. Unten ist eine Hauptfußgängerstraße. Es ist bequem zu essen und einkaufen zu gehen. Es kann an den Gründen des Landes liegen. Das Hotel fühlt sich alt an und es fühlt sich ein wenig unsicher an, nachts auszugehen. Das Hotel ist im altmodischen Stil eingerichtet und die Hotellobby befindet sich im zweiten Stock im Retro-Stil. Das Frühstück ist relativ reichhaltig, aber nach zwei Tagen Essen habe ich das Gefühl, dass es nichts zu essen gibt. Es kann sein, dass der chinesische Magen daran nicht gewöhnt ist. Obst, Saft, Kaffee, viel Milch, das ist toll. Das Badezimmer im Hotel hat nur einen Duschkopf, was sehr unpraktisch ist. Außerdem wird das Trinkwasser vom Hotel selbst installiert und ist immer nicht trinkbar.

This is a very nice hotel at this price point. Our room was modern with nice decor. Breakfast was included. Basically 1 choice, eggs prepared per request, rice and beans, and fruit. The hotel does not have a restaurant/bar, just a basic breakfast. There are only 3 parking spaces - directly in front of the property. We were lucky to always have a parking space available. A parking ramp for pay is just a 1-minute walk down the street. All of the staff, front desk, breakfast waiter, and housekeeping were absolutely 5 stars! I forgot/left behind 2 pairs of Apple Airpods in the room when we checked out. I realized this at the airport. I called the hotel, and to my amazement, housekeeping found them and turned them into the front desk! This would never happen in the States. The front desk guided me to have FedEx pick up the items and shipped to me at my expense of course which I was happy to pay for. I received my Airpods 3 days later! I cannot say enough great things about Costa Rican people! They take ”Pura Vida” very seriously and it is a wonderful experience! Thank you to all of the wonderful people at Rincon de Valle!

Das Hotel Novo ist gut gelegen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfreich. Meine Erfahrung war jedoch, dass es für das, was es ist, überpreist ist. Das Gebäude und die Einrichtungen sind müde und zeigen ihr Alter. Das 'eingeschlossen' Frühstück war normal (im Gegensatz zu meinen Erfahrungen in Ecuador und später in Nicaragua). Hotel Novo befindet sich in einem Meer von überpreisten Produkten. Ich kam spät und hatte wenige Mahlzeiten; ich aß bei McDonalds um die Ecke, wo ich fast AU$20 für einen Hamburger und einen Drink bezahlte. Ich erzählte einem Tica, von Libera (CR), am nächsten Tag, von meinen Erfahrungen, und er würde einfach nicht die Preise in 'Center' San Jose glauben. Ich werde versuchen, um zu vermeiden, nach San Jose zurückzukehren. Ich werde meine nächste Reise in Liberia planen. (wo wir am nächsten Tag gutes Mittagessen für einen gesunden [über] AU$7) hatten. Gesamtumfassend, für ein Land mit, angeblich, ein Viertel des 'durchschnittlichen' Einkommens von Australien, Preise in San Jose sind teurer als das, was ich in Australien zahle. Ich werde nicht zurückgehen!
