We arrived at the Hotel around midnight on December 24th, later than planned due to a delay in flights. Only to be told that they had no rooms available because they were over booked. We had booked this prepaid stay through ******* on November 25th. We couldn't believe this. They offered us a room in a different hotel but we would have to make out own way there. We had chosen this particular hotel because it was just a few minutes walk from our daughter's house and so we didn't have transport. The staff were apologetic and said it was a corporate issue. Shabby, who stayed after her shift had finished to help us got us an UBER to another Residence Inn 30 minutes drive away. She paid for this herself.
We had not received any notification that there wasn't a room for us. We did not arrive at the alternative hotel until 1:40 am after 21 hours of travel.
We felt very let down.
