Agriturismo Poggiacolle

We just finished our time in Italy of which half of it was spent at Poggiacolle. Our group of 5 with 3 kids under 12 were treated like family and we had a wonderful stay! Stefano was so helpful, courteous and welcoming! The views are just breathtaking and their property offers the opportunity to walk through the vineyards or olive orchards and soak up true Tuscany. The accomodations were also spacious, in very good condition and well equipped. I also cannot forget the perfect location for exploring the heart of Tuscany. Thank you Stefano for the special memories, we will not forget our time here!

We had a wonderfull time in Poggiacolle! This is a great place with the most friendly people you will meet. Stefano is really friendly and helpfull, proud on what he is doing there with the agri and with his wines and olives. Daniela is always responding very fst and friendly to any questions we had and the cleaning ladies who come every day (very nice bonus) were also very accomodating. Our 6 person apartment is basically the best on the property ;-) Its ground floor with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Good kitchen and bbq outside. The magic is in the bedroom windows as from your bed you can see the "skyline" of San Gimignano. Then 2nd treat is the outside terrace. Again the best view of San Gimignano plus a very nice evening sun that settles behind the olive garden in front of us. Then there is a fantastic infinity pool with enough sunbeds and umbrella's for all guests, not to forget the great garden around, including the fenced part where our dog was able to walk freely around. We also had a very nice cooking lesson and great conversation with Deborah from Toscane di Gusto! We will do our best to come back with the rest of our family! Grazzi Mille a tutti ***** PS Sorry Stefano but on our last evening I cut some Rosemary and Sage from your bushes to take home to Netherlands..... Hope you dont mind as it will grow back soon..... The result is that we still eat our potatoes and meats with these fresh herbs and the fantastic smell-memory of Tuscany and Poggiacolle in particular ;-)

We had a a very nice 4 night stay here. We had great views of San Gmignano and access to great hiking. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast. The vernaccia wine made by Stefano was excellent as were the dinners that were made by Chef Deborah. .

We had a fantastic table and the terrace was wonderfully cooling. As ever the view was stunning! The service was excellent being, friendly, relaxed and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious and lots of it......perfect. We also enjoyed the red and white homegrown wine and olive oil.. Another wonderful Poggiacolle memory. You must come to this magic place.

Stefano and Daniella were fabulous hosts and both met us when we arrived. I strongly suggest to future guests that you follow Daniella's advice that she provides during check in especially when you want to get a taxi to town. The photos you see of Agriturismo Poggiacolle do not do it justice. It is so beautiful I cannot put it into words. I woke up at sunrise each day to watch the sun come up, listen to the roosters in the distance as well as the church bells. It was all very calming. We were given a bottle of olive oil and a bottle of Chianti on our arrival and we enjoyed them. The Apartment Lavanda we stayed in was spacious for our family of four. It was clean and I have no negatives to add. Would I return again? Absolutely Thank you to Stefano, Daniella and their awesome team. We hope to see you soon.

Staying at Agriturismo Poggiacolle was, without question, the highlight of our three weeks (and many cities) time in Italy in October 2022. Stefano was the ultimate host, full of knowledge, and clearly is outstanding at what he does. The catering team of Debora and daughter Margarita were a delight and a special treat was our dinner prepared by Debora--one of the best we had and we had a lot of great meals. This is THE place to stay....stop looking and start booking!
