Motel 6 San Diego, CA - Downtown Bewertungen

The motel property is barely at the edge of the downtown area and was surrounded by tents, trash, and the unhoused sleeping on the sidewalks and sitting on the corner of the building, which is only 10ft from the front door. When we checked in we were told there were NO PARKING spots available in their very small parking lot, street parking on a weekend was non existent and the nearest parking lot was $20. We were given a small corner room that clearly had not been properly cleaned in a long time, there were two blue hand towels and no other towels. We had a random man come to our door to ask if we had towels and thought he was bringing more when we told him no, but we ended up having to go down to the front desk to ask for the towels. Noise was non-stop and mostly from outside car racing. I’m also pretty sure someone on the floor below us was drilling something in their room from 11p-3a. The floor we were on smelled like fresh cigarette smoke, old cigarettes, nag champa incense, and like a cat had sprayed the hall. There was a giant dust hairball in the elevator and when that was picked up it was replaced by trash. Will never stay here again.
