Gutes Wellnesshotel zum Entspannen, die einzige Enttäuschung war das Abendrestaurant, das Fleisch war sehr schlecht.

Super helpful staff, swimming pools with a breathtaking view. Rooms with attention to detail and comfortable beds. The staff is attentive to everything Well stocked breakfast and possibility to stay in the spa even after check-out. A spectacle!

Vorab, wir waren vor ca. 19 Jahren 2 mal hier und begeistert. Wir sind mit unseren Kindern angereist und wollten Ihnen gerne diesen Ort zeigen, Die Begrüßung bei der Ankunft war so gut wie nicht vorhanden, keine Nachfrage bezüglich der Anreise, wir wurden nicht aufs Zimmer begleitet. Wir hatten Zimmer im älteren Teil des Gebäudes, Die Zimmer waren alt und die Bäder auch nicht wirklich zeitgemäß. Überall Risse im Mauerwerk, die Terrasse (wir hatten eine Suite) und insgesamt die Aussenanlagen eher ungepflegt. Die Therme selber war noch genauso wie vor 18 Jahren, aber in einem schlechteren Zustand. Einige Massagedüsen waren gar nicht funktionsfähig, Lichter wurden nie eingeschaltet. Die Liegen im Indoorbereich wurden aus dem Garten geholt, sie waren alt und dreckig. Insgesamt hat die gesamte Anlage bessere Tage gesehen und wirkt vernachlässigt.

Der Empfang im Fonteverde war freundlich, wir bekamen sogar ein Zimmerupgrade. Im Vorfeld aber keinerlei Infos über Anreise oder Parkplatz etc. auch auf der Homepage nichts zu finden. Das Zimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen, das Bad entspricht nicht einem 5-Sterne Haus. Das Spa lieblos, in die Jahre gekommen, keine oder wenig Deko, das Licht wurde nie eingeschaltet und die Mitarbeiter gefühlt unsichtbar. Kein Service am Pool etc. Das Frühstück konnte auch nicht überzeugen, kleines Buffet, die Mitarbeiter überfordert und nach Eierspeisen o.ä. wurden wir nie gefragt. Das Abendessen im Restaurant haben wir nicht getestet, die Karte überzeugte uns nicht, somit haben im Nachbardorf gegessen. Am Abreisetag kam, trotz Nachfrage bei der Rezeption, niemand um uns beim Gepäck zu helfen. Wir waren froh haben wir nicht länger gebucht und können dieses Haus nicht als 5-Sterne Hause empfehlen und schon gar nicht als Leading Hotel of the World.

A beautiful hotel in the Tuscan hills, right from when you drive in the gates you can tell you’ve made a great decision. Old wood charm mixed with lovely facilities. The pool areas are wonderful our room was large and well appointed and so efficiently maintained during our stay. Having breakfast on the terrace in the morning was so relaxing. My one and only criticism is that although the food in the main restaurant was good the service was not up to the standard you would expect from a hotel of this class and cost something that other guests concurred with.

We will not be returning. The food was lackluster, spas felt dirty, and the beds exceedingly uncomfortable. I am not someone with back issues and I got tremendous back pain- we had to leave early and they refused to reimburse. I was never offered to speak with a manager nor did they change the bed topper and mattress which was promised to be changed, nothing was done- both of which they cited they did and therefore would not reimburse. A mediocre resort way overpriced. “Thermal pools” like Luke warm bath water.

My wife and I were looking forward to staying three nights at this highly-rated resort. I had made a reservation for a junior suite valley view with terrace. I was taken to a room that looked exactly like the deluxe valley view with balcony that is depicted in the website. I complained that my room lacked the larger terrace and a sofa that was clearly shown in the picture describing the junior suite. I was assured that no, I was in the right room. I showed the receptionist the picture of the suite in my reservation and told her that only a week before, I had called to specifically discuss the difference between the two rooms and was told that while I was definitely in the right room, they would move me to a different one that looked exactly like the one I had reserved but was the same room class. This new and larger room was located in a different wing. The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was good. We only ate at the hotel restaurant one night (which was ok) as we walked to town (about 10 minutes) and ate at La Fontanella for two of the three nights. When I checked out I looked at the bill and noticed that my one dinner charge was duplicated. When I challenged this the receptionist quickly took it off my bill. Were these two incidents honest mistakes? I am not sure but would certainly not return here.
