Mit 5 Sterne hat das, was hier geboten wird überhaupt nichts zu tun. Mit 3 Sternen wäre dieses Hotel noch zu gut bewertet.
Flughafentransfer:
Trotz bestätigter Abholung habe ich über 1,5 Stunden am Flughafen warten müssen und mehrfach mit dem Hotel telefoniert, bis endlich ein uralter Transporter erschien.
******* wirbt mit kostenlosem Flughafentransfer. Tatsächlich kostet jede Fahrt 25.000 CFA (ca.40 Euro). Beschwerden bei ******* bringen nichts, da wird man an das Hotel verwiesen, das aber hier kompromisslos ist.
Zimmer:
Einrichtung und Bodenbeläge hochwertig bei Einbau, aber es sieht nach Renovierungsstau aus. In der Dusche sind die Ecken schwarz von Schimmel. Das Bett ist hervorragend und auch mit Moskitonetz geschützt.
Die Klimaanlage hat funktioniert, aber unterhalb des Geräts hat sich eine Pfütze auf dem Holzboden gebildet.
Die Bretter des Bodens haben sich teilweise gelockert.
Restaurant:
Das obligatorische Sylvestermenü würde ich als nichts Besonderes bezeichnen, dafür mit ca. 100 € pro Person völlig überteuert, wie auch die Bargetränke. Wir haben ansonsten bis auf das gute Frühstück
(leider mit Kapsel Kaffemaschine=Umweltverschmutzung) und gelegentlich einer Tiefkühlpizza auf die Verpflegung im Hotel verzichtet und sind lieber auswärts essen gegangen.
SPA:
Nur Massagen in Anspruch genommen, soweit ok.
Pool:
Mehrere Pools, die eigentlich nur zum Erfrischen gedacht sind. Der tiefste ging gerade mal bis zum Bauchnabel.

Very nice room, original, very pleasent decoration. Excellent bathroom, very complete, large, original. All facilities extra clean. Good, safe parking. Very good internet. Reception team efficient & friendly. When I left I forgot my glasses in the room. They called me from the Hotel two days later asking whether they sent me the glasses, or kept them there till my next visit. Garden & swimming pool excellent. The only area to improve is the range of breakfast dishes, it was quite limited.

What a big disappointment it was!!! I go to Saly twice a year. We usually stay at Royam Hotel. This time we decided to give Rhino a chance because their website description of the hotel is very appealing. For instance I wanted to take advantage of the hot tub they advertised but actually do not have. The worst part is that I got food poisoning after eating their breakfast, especially the scrambled eggs which were very wet. On Sunday I waited for over 15 minutes for a cup and a mug in order to pour some coffee and some orange juice. I eventually gave up on the orange juice. I was not the only one. Besides they are very expensive.

The Rhino Resort & Spa is a beautiful property with friendly staff. The rooms and pools are top of the line that include a separate bath, shower and toilet. It was quiet and peaceful. I will return for another visit.

Excellent hotel with just a few minor drawbacks, none of which should put others off staying here. The rooms are dark (I suspect most of them, certainly ours) as they are very long and the glass doors (which serve as windows) are shadowed. The wardrobe is unusable without a ladder (not provided) as the hanging rail is 3 metres up! The shower and spa bath need maintenance, but everything else in the room was perfect. Breakfast is chaotic - no other word for it - which would be forgivable if it was included in the room rate. Coffee, when available (just one filter machine, have to ask them to fill it) comes either as ultra-strong bitter or dishwater, omelettes can take 30 minutes to arrive, availability of other things variable. Dinner quality is good, but takes forever to come - we waited 1h 40m for our main courses! But... the price is good and the rooms and pool areas are fine.

Wonderful stay with friends for a day on our way to Gambia. Will definitely stop by again. Wonderful and friendly service. Staff were a delight . A Beautiful spa in the resort and walking distance to the beach. Well done management. Thank you Rhino resort! Will be back again soon!

My bed had both live and dead bugs in it at check. I asked to have new bedding put on the bed and hotel staff refused. I was told that the bugs were coming from the thatched roof ceiling. Bathroom fixtures were old and some broken like the paper towel holder. Expensive and not with the money. Keys did not work after one days stay and a staff member very easily broke into the room with a screw driver making us feel very unsafe about the security of the room.
