The rooms and grounds were gorgeous and perfectly serene; ideal for some down time. The location is also idea: up on a hill overlooking the Ionian coast while also just 5 min away from very nice beach clubs. "Beautiful farmhouse nestled in the Salento countryside where you can breathe in the atmosphere of the surrounding landscape. Arriving at this wonderful structure we were greeted in a friendly and welcoming way by all the staff and after checking in, going to our room, we admired all the natural setting that surrounds and enhances the beauty of the place. The room assigned responded exactly to what we had requested at the time of booking: a quiet environment with comfortable and welcoming interior spaces, furnishings embellished with the typical stone of the place and outside a beautiful swimming pool not very large but pertaining only to our room. We dined in the restaurant of the farmhouse tasting the typical dishes and excellent fish-based dishes. And what about the Salento sea? Its colors and its clarity will remain in our hearts together with the stay in this enchanting farmhouse."

"If you are looking for accomodation around Salve and appreciate style, comfort and fabulous food then you really must stay here! You won’t be disappointed. It’s absolutely beautiful, the owners Salvatore and Manuela are the perfect hosts, helpful, informative and entertaining! They are clearly very passionate about their business. The breakfast here has to be the best we’ve had anywhere, beautiful fresh ingredients, lots of variety and Salvatore keen to cook any type of eggs you want. His omelettes were amazing, perfectly cooked and interesting fillings. Palazzo Frangipane really is a hidden gem, from the street you’d have no idea what lays behind the wooden door. It opens to reveal a perfect oasis of calm and style. So many tiny details cleverly put together, from the dining furniture, tastefully decorated bedrooms, to the pretty gardens and pool area. We were staying in the upstairs terrace room which has a wonderful view over neighbouring rooftops and to the sea. The sun is on the terrace all afternoon and has comfortable seating allowing peaceful privacy, and a spectacular sunset. In summary, you must stay here! We will definitely be coming back and will arrange our next Puglia visit to include Salve again. Thank you both so much, we had a fabulous time!"

It was the perfect place to enjoy a couple days, while driving through Italy on vacation.
