Áncora Salou la Siesta Apartments

Currently sat in Reus airport and compelled to write a review after a fantastic three night stay here. We arrived at around 11:00am on Friday morning and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful chap who told us he would try to see if our room could be made available earlier than 16:00 and to come back at 12:30. We were very grateful that at this time our two bedroom comfort apartment was indeed ready for us to use. The apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean with a huge balcony, two bathrooms and a lovely sitting area with a table, seating, sofa and a TV. The kitchen area was also impressive although we didn't use anything other than the fridge. We were visiting primarily for Portaventura and the Ancora was a straightforward and easy walk of Approximately 20 mins. All the staff here were very friendly and professional and we really enjoyed our stay even if the weather wasn't favourable. We will 100% be back in the future and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salou now. Brilliant.

We stayed here from 4th until 11th October. First of all we were greeted by Pau, he has to be one of the friendliest and helpful guys you will ever meet. All the staff at reception are friendly, helpful and always greet you, so thank you for a lovely stay. Yes you have to pay 100 euros deposit, but if you've read about the Ancora before you've booked this is stated, so why are people moaning on here about it! Our apartment was spotless, had everything we needed, could not fault anything about it. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach front, plenty of restaurants, shops and bars close to the apartments all within a couple of minutes walk. I would definitely return again in the future.

Nice clean apartment. Had to make own bed up. And take all rubbish away on last day. If you book breakfast, you have to go to another location. Which is not mentioned on apartment details. No Rep visit. Or notice boards for local information. Not a bad location.

1 .The Ancora is an amazing place to stay. Apartments are clean and spacious. The location is central and the staff are great, especially the night staff Pau, who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Security wise, probably the best place we have stayed at in Salou and we have been coming here for 17 years.

I really can’t think of anything negative to say about these apartments! They are fantastic! We had an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (which we weren’t expecting). The apartments are new - only a year old and are in a great location, just 10 minutes to the sea front and shops. The apartment was plenty big enough for 4 of us, with an adequate living area, well equipped kitchen and a large balcony. The air conditioning is very efficient too. We had towels included, but that might just be the particular package holiday we paid for (with Jet2). The staff are very friendly and helpful - they were more than happy to recommend places of interest and book taxis for us. We would highly recommend these apartments and would definitely stay here again!

First of all they are nice very well located apartments .But im sorry and you can defend this all you want on your website but to charge people for the use of towels and bed sheets is nothing more than a scam..We were in disbelief when we were asked the question on arrival..What did you expect us to say ,no thanks we will drip dry and sleep on the floor..And then the 100 euro deposit that you get back when you leave..But we paid by card and because we checked out before reception opened we were refused the money the night before we left.. I was told the room had to be checked when we left and if we left rubbish in a bin or dirty dishes we would lose our deposit..Now im sorry but 100 euro for rubbish or dirty dishes..And the funny thing about that situation is there is no on site bins ,you have to walk down the street to find a bin for your rubbish..By the way our deposit was returned to my card after we left but to have to stand in your apartment as a security guard checked your room was a bit much..Maybe the owner of the Ancora ran a boarding school before he became a hotelier..We didnt eat here so i cant comment on the food but i would check if you have to pay extra for the use of plates and ifs its 100euro if you dirty the table cloth..I will say the night porter i think is name was Pau was a gentleman ..
