A home away from home. You never know when you arrive at a destination what your experience will be like. This was one of the best places I have had the pleasure of staying in all my travels. The host is outstanding. So much my. son and I chose to invite him and a guest out to dinner on our last night there. The rooms are comfortable.The location is perfect. I highly recommend booking your stay here. We will be back

Great location for exploring Saint Pierre. Our host was extremely helpful, charming and accommodating. We arrived on Monday when few restaurants were open. He tried to make reservations and even had an English-speaking friend come over to help us. Our room was clean and comfortable. Nice views and convenient location. We enjoyed chatting with our host and other guests at breakfast. Highly recommend!

Had a great week staying at Chez Marie Jo! Highly recommend. Very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to downtown, shops and restaurants. Views to die for! St. Pierre and Miquelon is incredibly unique and special. Very picturesque.

Chez Marie-Jo is clean, comfortable and quiet, with an amazing panoramic view of Saint Pierre from the upstairs bathroom window! Our hostess could not have been more pleasant and was hugely helpful with restaurant reservations and arranging transportation. The accommodation is very reasonably priced. Ian McDonald, Ottawa

I spent two nights here at Chez Marie-Jo in a room with an amazing view of St. Pierre, as her place is higher up on the small hill. You could even climb up at the end of the street to get an even more beautiful view of the whole town. My room had a large bed that was comfortable, as well as a desk, mirror and TV. Each morning breakfast was served with croissants and pain au chocolat, along with juices, milk, tea and coffee. Guests sat at the table together, so it was great getting to know everyone. Marie-Jo also sat and chatted with us. This is one reason I like to stay at B&Bs. For those who plan to visit Saint Pierre et Miquelon, do consider this place to stay!

Terrible and undependable she took a replacement booking over us 3 days before our arrival. St. Pierre is a 4 hour drive and a 2 hour ferry ride from the nearest big city of St. John’s a destination off the beaten path so you would have to go out or your way to visit. Not a place to go without a reservation. Essentially a foreign country, in a foreign language, with foreign currency, and no banks open to exchange Euros. That is how she left me as a fully paid guest in her home. I incurred ATM and bank charges and called in favours to share a room in an unrelated woman’s home. She wanted to be paid in Euros and of course I would oblige tipped her for her hospitality and kindness. Marie Jo has still not apologized nor contacted the third party provider to confirm she could not provide accommodations. I did take a screenshot of her French note and was refunded most of my expense. In the Visitor information center in Fortune, Newfoundland, I have seen Marie-Jo’s glossy flyers advertising her bed and breakfast and wondered if she were taking a premium pay, was that the reason for her late cancellation of my reservation. I did note a similar comment similar to mine years before and wish I had taken better heed. My reviews on TripAdvisor are balanced, and helpful. I would not go out of my way to write this comment on during my vacation unless it was well deserved.

Un accueil excellent, c'est la 1ere fois que je vais en maison d'hôte et la barre est haute. J'ai passé un très agréable séjour, ils ont tout fait pour me faire apprécier l'ile de Saint Pierre, ils m'ont conseillée dans mes sorties, ils m'ont fait visiter l'ile. Ils m'ont fait découvrir la cuisine insulaire. Que du bonheur.
