Cordova Inn

We checked in around 8pm and the service desk already shutdown at 6pm without any clerk to support. The bartender showed us our room key in the mailbox. The room is too old and the water is not running in the sink. We have to wash faces and brush teeth in the bathtub. The service desk did not give us the compliment parking card to park our car in garage as promised. We have to paid for our parking overnight. I do not recommend to any guests

The check-in process was a nightmare. The gal that checked us in was the most unprofessional that I've come across in a long while. She was emphatic about the website says in bold print that there was no elevator. That is not true. Under a sub sub menu under a heading of Other things to know (in regular print). Also, this same check-inn gal stated that the parking lot next door was not for the hotel. If we parked there, we would either get a ticket or towed. It is, in fact, a public parking lot, so that was not true. The building is extremely old. The beds are terrible. the bathroom seemed to be clean but the only self in the bathroom was barely attached to the wall. When I used the toilet the handle just moved and there was NO flush. The gal that was on duty in the morning, was a peach of a person and very professional. She was a 5 star employee. That's why I gave them 2 stars. If I could give the check-in gal a negative, I would. As far as the lobby...One of the reasons I booked was because of the front covered porch. That was lovely. Also, there was a bar in the lobby. BUT, the tabletops were so extremely dirty. The floor had dried spots on the floor from spills that any of the employees ever bothered to clean. Needless to say we checked out a day early. I do not recommend.

Great location for downtown St Petersburg. Room was clean but the bed seemed like it was very old. Matress was broke down and very uncomfortable. We booked for two nights but only stayed one. I would definitely not recommend staying at this hotel.
