Les Bastides Saint Paul

The hotel is very comfortable and hospitable even in offish-season. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, the host very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast is good. You need to have a car, as the hotel lies on a busy throughfare with no adjoining village or or pavements. The location as such is very good and there is no disturbance from the traffic.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Swimming pool is well-maintained and the room with balcony was clean and perfect for a family trip. You can see some of the surrounding mountains from the breakfast area, other than that it's lots of pretty trees and flowers. Our room had air con and a minibar fridge although do consider hiring a car as the shops aren't in close walking distance. Kids can play table tennis and there's a piano too. St paul de vence is close by and has some wonderful artisanal shops selling traditional soaps and floral products of the region. The Fragonard store in St paul Town centre is fantastic. If you can't get over to Grasse, pop in there for a selection of their soaps, perfumes and tableware, also lovely tops, dresses and scarves. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay this is it. Near all the main towns and villages such as Vence, tourrettes sur loup, Cagnes sur mer. It's 40 minutes away from Cannes, where you can book a quick ferry ride over to the beautiful island of Sainte Marguerite. Fantastic for nature lovers. If booking Uber trips note that there's a cut off limit at Tourrettes, ubers do not go to tourrettes or beyond that town in the direction of the mountains so don't get stuck booking your return car! All in all we had a very enjoyable trip. Thank you to Joel and his wife for welcoming us.

We were impressed with this quiet hotel and the very attentive staff. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food and coffee were excellent. The rooms were spotless and we were just a short distance from St Paul de Vence. We enjoyed every mintue of this relaxing stay.

This hotel was a quiet little patch of paradise, where we could savor the peace and the birdsongs off the little private terrace. There is a large grocery store 4 minutes away and an artisan bakery as well, so we stocked up the mini-fridge in our room. Saint Paul de Vence was an easy drive away and we were able to enjoy it late and early without the crowds. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely enjoy returning here again someday.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Les Bastides St Paul. The room was spacious and we really appreciated the large and comfortable bed, and simple things like the large wardrobe space and daily cleaning made it feel very welcoming. The room’s private outside terrace was great, it felt private and the fairy lights were a nice touch- we spent a lot of time out here. It was good having a fridge in the room so we could keep our snacks fresh. The pool area is very well maintained with plenty of loungers and green space, and sometimes some relaxing lounge music on the radio! We only had breakfast once but this was very tasty; for €13 each this would add a bit onto the bill though if you were to have it every day. There are many great things to do in the local area - car recommended as it’s not that easy to walk from the hotel as there is a fairly busy road. We drove up to St Paul de Vence as well as Haut Cagnes, very pretty locations. LeClerc hypermarché and petrol station only a few minutes drive away. We would definitely like to visit again and thank you Joel for your hospitality!

Reception: Gentleman was very helpful and walked me to my room. Room / facilities: Room number 14 is on the 1st floor. It is very clean and spacious, with a separate bathroom and toilet within the room. Comfortable queen bed and supportive pillows. The room has a self control air conditioning with a glass door that opens to the balcony which overlooks the stunning pool area. The room has tea and coffee facilities, complementary bottle of water, small fridge, safe, drying rack extra blankets pillows, bath tub with shower and separate toilet. The hotel has a beautiful pool area with parking. Parking: is available at no cost Wifi: Complementary and good speed a password is required. Breakfast: Available for additional cost, but not utilised on this stay. Conclusion: Perfect quiet location slightly out of St Paul and 40 minutes from Nice city. Letdowns: Lack of bench space in the room. Location / Nearby: St Paul Major shopping mall area and Casino is a 5 min drive or 20 min walk. Fast food and supermarket are nearby to the shopping mall. Petrol station 2 min drive from the mall. Getting to hotel: Best use GPS
