Auberge du Père Bise - Jean Sulpice

The food is exemplary, the service is fantastic and the location is superb. This was our third visit and it keeps getting better.

Our overall experience at Auberge du Père Bise was exceptional—from check-in to check-out. Mahaut and her colleagues on the front-of-house team gave us a warm welcome (including a thorough room review and presentation of the praline gift - complements of the chef) and remained genuinely friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. The bartenders (especially Thomas and a young man from India - regretfully did not get his name!) were festive, fun, and went above and beyond by helping us arrange a room-service champagne surprise to celebrate our friend's 60th birthday. After spending 6–7 days hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc, this was the perfect place to unwind. The hotel struck a wonderful balance: luxurious yet relaxed, refined without ever feeling pretentious. The food was incredibly fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully curated. We dined at Jean Sulpice and were absolutely blown away—not only by the cuisine but by the exceptional service. The staff's presentation was creative, engaging, and even witty, making the entire dining experience memorable from beginning to end. We were pleasantly surprised as we even were able to meet the chef during the cheese experience! We were so appreciative to have use of the spa after check out and that our luggage could be held until after our paragliding experience late that afternoon - the young man behind the desk showed his excitement for us as he has glided himself :) A HUGE thank you to Mahaut and Magali for assisting us with our Geneva transfer and luggage! Merci Beaucoup! Auberge du Père Bise provided the perfect finale to our adventure, and we would return without hesitation.

Such a wonderful location with perfect service, amazing food, excellent spa, great swimming on the lake and a peaceful ambiance. It feels like a secret escape, your own private resort. Well worth the trip with the addition of a bike ride around the lake, not to be missed and the Auberge even offers bikes to rent for the ride, all very well organized.

We had a fabulous few days staying on the lake. Very relaxing in such a peachy setting The staff were very helpful and the breakfasts and hotel facilities were superb.

This is a beautiful hotel in an exceptional location. Views of the lake and mountains are amazing. We enjoyed the food at Marius Bar, our room (Junior Suite), boat ride on Lake Annecy and dinner at 1903. The staff were charming, friendly and professional. The spa area is lovely with a great swimming pool. Absolutely a fantastic property. We plan to return.

Following a number of visits over many years this remains my favourite European hotel with a stunning setting, impeccable and extremely professional yet unobtrusive staff and service that one cannot criticise in any manner. Located a 20 minute drive from the Centre of Annecy but with a boat taxi facility from the hotel to Annecy, should you opt to use it. Have eaten at each restaurant proposition during a number of visits.......never disappointed with either the quality or presentation of Jean Suplice's superb menus. Perfect for a weekend away (via Geneva airport) or a longer stay, if preferred.

The most magical place on earth. Jean Sulpice's food is nothing short of divine. Magali Sulpice runs the most elegant and comfortable hotel in the world. Each member of staff is amazing; all experts in their fields and not pretentious. The Auberge combines old school elegance with modern food and comforts. It is perfection.

Everything was so nice and warm, from the moment I got there, late because of a delayed, they really showed me they cared about my experience. They reaccommodated some activities I had scheduled for the day, so I got to experience them still. I couldn't have asked for more.

Loved every moment of our stay from the delicious breakfast in front of the lake, the spa, private yoga class and massage to the dinner at the 1903 and the calm and relaxing bedroom. We'd come back any time.
