Sea Cliff Eco-Cottages & Gin Distillery

The cottage was exactly what we had hoped for: a gorgeous tropical getaway with amazing views! We loved exploring the island, like the hard hike to Chandier Pool and the easy hikes to number one beach and Batibou Beach which had ocean and rivers to swim in! Don’t go home without your favorite Gin from your tasting! We went home with one bottle of the Butterfly Pea Gin and now that we are back in the US, wish we had brought a suitcase to buy 10 bottles of it! My friends all want to know where they can buy it!

We stayed in the Garden cottage for 5 nights and easily could have stayed much longer! The property is spectacular - we loved the location, which is tucked away from the busy town but within walking distance to groceries, restaurants, beaches. The general area has a plethora of incredible beaches and hiking. The cottage itself is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything needed to make meals, coffee, blended drinks. The shower gets satisfyingly hot with great water pressure. We appreciated the library and well thought out welcome guide included in the cottage… a great resource! All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We also appreciate the commitment to sustainability and community at Sea Cliff. Staying here was a highlight of our two weeks in Dominica: we would love to return in the future! Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Simon and Amber are so passionate about this project and it shows in the product. I’m a rum drinker only, but I love this Gin. The tour itself is a lot of fun and very impressive. Their passion shines throughout their work. If you are up North in Dominica, this is definitely worth your while. Highly recommend. Plus the drinks are AMAZING!

I had the opportunity to spend a few days in Dominica with a colleague at Sea Cliff and to this day I still dream of waking up to sun rising on the front porch of the studio that I stayed at. Sea Cliff is eco friendly, so no there's no AC, but you get ample sea breeze. The rooms are cozy, homey, so comfortable. The view... I will not get over how amazing the views are from Sea Cliff. That alone should be enough to convince anyone to stay here. And the nature. If you're looking for a place to stay to really disconnect and just enjoy peace and quiet, then this is the place. I can't wait to go back. The owners are easily two of most beautiful people I've ever met and alongside them, their staff are very friendly and ready to assist if need be. Sea Cliff is a short walk to the main road and a few minutes drive or bus ride to the heart of Calibishie where you can find a grocery, restaurants and other businesses.

We stayed in the Sea Cliff Cottages for seven nights and wish we would have booked two weeks. The cottage was clean, comfortable and relaxing. We loved getting up in the morning, making coffee and sitting out on our front balcony (overlooking the ocean) to enjoy the sunrise, the ocean breeze and read. The ocean breeze and waves crashing below put us sound to sleep at night! We highly recommend ordering some of the treats offered by Amber & Simon. The homemade sourdough bread was so good. We also enjoyed local produce from the neighbor farmer, Pascal. The avocados were ginormous!!! Calibishe has great oceanside restaurants. The food was so fresh and really good. Highlights of our week there: a day out with the local guide Nigel, hiking Middleham Falls, visiting the thermal baths, hiking to swim in Chaudiere pool, Batibou Beach and the local chocolate factory. We rented a car for five of the days. Simon & Amber have great advice on who to rent from + advice on everything else Dominica! Overall, a fantastic stay and we will visit again!

Wow. Just wow. The moment we arrived at Sea Cliff I could hardly find my breath. The views from the covered deck of our cottage were stunning and surrounded us on all sides. To be immersed in their lush gardens and to fall asleep listening to the sounds of ocean waves rolling in will be a memory I cherish forever. The fact the the resort is powered by solar panels, provides clean and delicious mountain water to reduce the need for plastic bottled water, and has composting resources was such an overwhelming bonus. Upon arrival we were greeted by Amber, Simon, and their two wonderful children. They gave us beach, hiking, dining advice, and also provided a handbook full of their site-seeing wisdom, including where to dine and how to navigate to the many beaches within a few minutes walk. They also provided warm, freshly baked sourdough bread, cold brew coffee, and enough coconuts to last our trip. Do not miss out on the magical experience of staying at Sea Cliff Cottages. If you need an excellent tour guide and someone to drive you to explore further away sites, there’s none better than the Sea Cliff’s one and only, Pascal. Oh, and do try to the Pointe Baptiste Chocolate Factory, Poz’s restaurant, and Coral Reef restaurants while you’re in Calibishie. They are not to be missed. Thank you Amber, Simon and the boys.
