Appalled at the cleanliness in room 133 - carpets heavily stained, covered in dust, hair & fluff. Stains up the walls too. Fixings broken with holes in the headboard. Room smelled so strongly of smoke & damp it was overpowering. Bathroom walls stained & bath/shower area had black mould. Filthy chair - you wouldn't even sit on it in a pub. The bedside light switch was also faulty - I couldnt turn it off without having to move its position and press with everything i had. It had broken bits of plastic in the fitting. I reported the problems several times - but no manager gave me their name during my stay and I spoke to three. They said the hotel was fully booked and that they didn't handle complaints & I'd have to google it. Nobody apologised & they werent friendly. None of the issues were resolved during my 3 night stay. All my belongings smelled of smoke when I got home. It was the beginning of the half term holidays so I didn't have any choice but to sleep there. I stayed in room 133 which is opposite a nightclub that stays open until 3:30am on Fridays/Saturdays. Despite the 'soundproofing' I got barely any sleep those 2 nights. This wasn't just a bit of ”city centre noise” - it was full-on continuous, bass-thumping and people screaming and shouting outside the bedroom window below. I understand that's not part of the 'goodnight guarantee' but they really shouldn't use that room on a weekend. Complained via the website within 7 days after stay & still no response or acknowledgement of complaint. I've stayed in so many premier inns over the last decade or so: Wirral, Blackpool, Leeds Whitehall, Glasgow, Scarborough, Newcastle, Stirling - just to name a few - so I know what to expect. St. Albans was truly the worst.

Wir sind gerade von einem 2-Nacht-Stadt zurückgekommen. Wir haben dieses Hotel als eine 30-minütige Fahrt von Wembley gewählt und war nicht wie die anderen Hotels teuer. Wir kamen 2 Stunden früh für eine Kontrolle in der Rezeption, aber der Herr bei der Rezeption hat uns in keinem Problem geprüft und uns Zugang zu unserem Zimmer gegeben. Unser Zimmer war eine gute Größe mit einem Doppelbett und zusätzlichen Ausziehen Sofabett. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gemütlich und hatte alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigt haben, wie Eisen, Kettle, Haartrockner und Handtücher. Es gab sogar ein kleines Zeichen im Badezimmer, dass wir wissen, ob wir etwas vergessen haben, nur dass sie wissen. Das Frühstück war beide Tage schön mit viel Wahl. Es war zu Ende beschäftigt, aber wir wurden angeraten, das bei der Eincheckung. Wir haben heute Morgen nicht von Wembley bis 3 Uhr zurückgekommen, aber nach einer schnellen E-Mail an die Rezeption um halb 7, sie sortierten sich spät aus, so dass wir ein bisschen mehr Schlaf haben könnten vor unserer 4.5 Stunde Reise nach Hause. Das Personal hier arbeitet so hart und es schien die gleichen 2 Gesichter unsere ganze 3-Tage-Aufenthalt. Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie sie es tun und lachen weiter. Nichts war zu viel Problem für sie. Wir werden definitiv zurückkehren.

Großes Hotel. Gute Lage für wo wir besuchen wollten. Hinterlassen Sie meine Uhr im Zimmer und konnte sie ein paar Tage später vom Reinigungspersonal holen. Ich empfehle es allen

Sorry for not giving a full mark to this hotel, not because of the hotel, but for Luton... feeling unsafe when came here at 20:00 with mu Fiancée. Especially, drug and a lot of gangs standing outside the corridor between mall and hotel. A stranger knocked my door at night and seems to try to have a look inside, fortuantely, hotel staff help us to call a security to look around after he leave. Anyway, this hotel is fine, breakfast and everything are make sense except for the shampoo and body gel are empty.

I had the misfortune to use this B&B some weeks ago, except that, I am not quite sure you can even call it a B&B. Instead, it is simply a chap, looking to make some extra money on his big house – whilst still wanting to retain the benefits that come with not opening your house to strangers, and paying ones at that. So, here is my warning to anyone interested in renting a room in Leafy Suburban Bed & Breakfast (LSBB). It is in effect a sort of scam that is misleading, and here is why. Do NOT even try and rent this property if… You like B&Bs that are fully transparent in their advertising and you get what you paid for courtesy of your hard earned money You (and anyone that comes with you) do not want to suffer the indignity and embarrassment of having to take off your shoes upon entry (stuff a private owner may demand of you but, a place, intended for public rental changing you also?). I wonder why this is not stated in the his glitzy ads? Because he knows, if he did, nobody would even look at his so-called B&B You want a bit of privacy when using the bathroom/toilet. LSBB advertises its nice looking bathroom/toilet on accommodation seeking websites. What they do not tell you is that, you’ll be sharing with several other tenants. In short, you will need to be dressed appropriately and have to peep out into the corridor each time you wish to use it, to ensure nobody else is using it You like to get what you pay for and get the little things that typically come with a B&B (such as cups or glasses perhaps, coffee making facilities perhaps, etc.). You do not get anything with LSBB – just a small room and nowt else! You want to be close to civilisation such as public transport and some shops maybe. This place is in the middle of nowhere and to even find the place, you had better have a degree in place finding. There are no signs on the long and badly lit road it is on. The lovely looking and spacious kitchen and garden (advertised) are nice, no doubt. However, they are largely for show. During my unfortunate stay there, at NO point was I invited to use either, and although I did not use the kitchen, I have since read on here that, its more one of, it’s all DIY (Do-it-Yourself) in this poor excuse for a B&B. Do not use this property also, if you want to be able to talk (at normal sound levels) in your room whether on the phone or to your companion. We were asked to keep our voice down, which I thought was rather rude. The prices he charges are even MORE than many quality hotels that offer 10 times better service. For one search, he was charging £64 a night whilst many hotels were either the same or less. In short, this is an owner wanting to have his cake and eat it. Someone wanting the best of both worlds. Charge the peasants to have a room in his sumptuous house and keep their money whilst, on the other hand, wanting all the benefits of a private house owner with NO visiting strangers.
