not so charming hotel - 2 Star
I booked three Superior rooms for a two-night stay for my family in mid-July. The hotel website advertised a pool and beach access, an important factor in our selection. In fact, while the hotel has a lovely garden and friendly staff,
it does not have an actual pool – only a spa that can be booked for a fee. Guests who book through ******* are furthermore excluded from access to the beach unless they pay extra because, we were told, that is only for the hotel’s guests which we apparently were not (we were invited to take it up with *******).
The supposedly superior rooms (at 230 EUR/night) were standard at best and substandard in some cases (one of the bathrooms was so small that the open door grazed the sink; one of the TVs was a small computer screen) and the air conditioning was not working properly – a particular problem since we had a three-month-old baby with us. We spent the best part of the day chasing after the staff to get the air con up, with repeated assurances that it had been fixed while it had not. The next day my husband and I we were moved to another room while the others exchanged rooms among themselves so that the baby could stay in the relatively better conditioned room. Despite pleasant surroundings, facilities and services are not 4 star, and we felt grossly overcharged. will not return and do not recommend.

Amazing place to stay on a calm village, nice views and gentile people. The hotel is beautiful, they have rooms to attend some work meetings, and the garden is perfect to do afterwork. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner were tasty! Thanks for these good days!

Beautiful hotel and location. Few minutes from the beach. The garden is amazing and the food is cost effective and delicious. Hotel staff are welcoming and friendly -- always a pleasure. See you next year!

Di Rientro da un weekend in questo hotel mi sono dovuto ricredere delle recensioni positive x questa struttura:in camera trovate ragnatele su muro e polvere su pale ventilatore,in bagno evidenti segni ruggine su manopola miscelatore,zanzare trovate in stanza e schiacciare su muri (bastava a fine pulizia stanza spruzza )repellente,insonorizzazione inesistente si sentivano chiaramente discorsi di clienti affianco,pednon parlare del ristorante :nonostante avessimo più volte fatto presente allergie alimentari e rassicurati che nn cerano problemi al momento cena il menù proposto si limitava a piatti da noi scelti per ripiego e per non andarcene in mancanza di altre scelte oltre ad un rapporto qualità prezzo ingiustificato dal servizio ricevuto e poca attenzione del personale.In ultimo sebbene avessimo dimentucato in stanza un oggetto sebbene di poco valore nessuna chiamata almeno x avvisarci..a voi conclusioni

Il San Francesco è un hotel storico di Sabaudia, molto bello e curatissimo il giardino, troppo carica la zona reception. Gentile e professionale il personale. Unica pecca purtroppo la camera. Bagno piccolissimo e vecchio, scaldasalviette arruginito. Una mano di pittura bianca nasconde poco e male una camera con mobili vecchi e un pò malandati. La sensazione generale è che l'hotel abbia ormai bisogno di una ristrutturazione forse un pò troppo posticipata.

Dopo aver scoperto questo posto incantevole, ogni anno non manchiamo, anche se abbiamo pochi giorni disponibili, di prenotare. La struttura è molto bella, ottimi i servizi, personale molto professionale e gentile. In quest'ultima visita però la sensazione è stata che qualcosa sta cambiando, questa attenzione al cliente che li distingueva, ora si percepisce meno. Arriviamo venerdì alle 21 passate, facciamo il check-in e la ragazza della reception, molto gentile, ci accompagna in stanza. Il condizionatore d'aria era acceso e perdeva molta acqua. Prontamente ci hanno cambiato di stanza. Ci hanno assegnato negli anni, sempre camere con vista giardino, ci siamo trovati invece a dormire con l'affaccio dietro, sopra ai locali della cucina. Stanza torrida, con climatizzatore senza posizione notturna o solo deumidificatore. Alla richiesta di cambiare la stanza, ci è stato detto che non era possibile. Il cristallo della doccia non scorreva bene., abbiamo poi fatto notare che una lampada dello specchio era fulminata, ma non è stata sostituita. Torneremo comunque in visita, facendo attenzione al momento della prenotazione, di verificare la posizione della stanza assegnata.
