Die Unterkunft liegt leider direkt an der Bahnstrecke, so dass man die Züge durchaus lauter hört. In die Stadt bzw. zur Promenade geht man ca. 10-15 Minuten. Für ein Ibis Styles-Hotel fehlt das oft sonst stylische Flair. Das Haus sieht schon etwas älter aus. Dafür war das Personal sehr freundlich. Auch das Zimmer war von der Größe ausreichend groß und das Badezimmer war durchschnittlich. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und hier gab es diverse Kalt- und Warmspeisen sowie vor allem auch sehr viele süße Speisen. Das Parkhaus unter dem Hotel mit fest zugewiesenem Parkplatz ist ausreichend groß.

Das beste Aspekt des Aufenthalts hier ist die Gastgeberin Ylenia, die uns am Tag vor unserer Ankunft mit Tipps auf dem Parkplatz kontaktiert und wartete auf uns. Nichts ist für diese wunderschöne junge Dame, deren Befehl auf Englisch ausgezeichnet ist, nie zu viel Problem. Die Lage des B & B ist hervorragend. Nahe dem Meer in einem wunderschönen alten Teil der Stadt, der vor kurzem wiedergefunden scheint. Die Dachterrasse ist großartig mit Meerblick und einer Außendusche. Wir konnten einen 5-minütigen Spaziergang kostenlos Parken finden. Das Frühstück ist angemessen, aber nichts besonderes und wir wurden von den Klangen des Aufbaus jeden Morgen geweckt. Leider lassen andere Aspekte der Immobilie es runter. Sobald Sie eintreten können Sie den Duft stinken. Der Duft ist am stärksten im Frühstücksraum im Grünbuch, das einen Dehydrater und rosa Form auf den Steinwänden hat. Unser Zimmer ”Sbbia” im Erdgeschoss hatte auch Dampfprobleme und wie die Bewertungen, die ich gelesen habe, scheint nichts getan worden, um das Problem richtig zu behandeln. Peeling Gemälde um das kleine Fenster und in der Ecke des Zimmers. Es gab auch schwarze Form um die Dusche, die ganz einfach ausgeräumt werden konnte. Wir fanden auch einen früheren Gasts Toenail auf dem Badezimmerboden klicken und die Fläche unter dem Bett nicht in einer Weile gereinigt worden war. Das kleine Schlafzimmer-Fenster und das Bad-Fenster beide auf der Straße geöffnet. Es gibt ein Restaurant direkt außerhalb des Erdgeschosses, so dass keine Privatsphäre mit ihnen offen und mit Nulllicht und sehr wenig Ventilation ist es kein Wunder, dass es eine Dampfprobleme gibt. Das würde auch für einige Menschen klaustrophobisch fühlen. Jeder mit Asthma oder Allergien wäre weise, diese Eigenschaft zu vermeiden. Wir blieben nur 2 Nächte, aber wir diskutierten diese Fragen mit anderen Gästen, die die gleichen Erfahrungen wie wir erlebten. Ich empfehle nicht, hier zu bleiben, bis die Probleme mit dem Dampf korrigiert werden.

The Dogana Resort is very much a 5-star hotel. It is a beautifully renovated seventeenth century palace/seminary - now with all modern features, yet without losing the simple grandeur of the building’s origins. Molfetta does is not as touristed as other larger coastal or hill towns in Puglia. In addition to feeling the rhythm of local life here, it is an excellent jumping off point for parts south, west and north. With a car there are many truly unique experiences within a few hours in each direction. At the hotel, our room (with an about 15 foot high ceiling) had a balcony overlooking Molfetta’s port. We enjoyed the vantage point, including watching the local fishing boats heading out to sea and back with their catch. The hotel front desk staff are exceptional! The team was welcoming and accommodating through our visit - answering our many questions and otherwise assisting us throughout our stay. While English is not widely spoken in Molfetta, we had no problems speaking with the bilingual front desk staff. The breakfast menu is ample, with attentive service (Dominico). And of course excellent coffee. We also quite successfully used valet parking to avoid the hassle finding a parking place between day trips.
