The Bosville Arms

We recently had dinner here and the food was excellent, reasonably priced and good quality. We had two young children with us and the children’s menu was better than the usual junk food offered at many places. All our meals were freshly cooked and good size portions. The young waitress was very pleasant and efficient and the pub was clean, comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome.

Our car sadly broke down whilst visiting the nearby monolith in the Churchyard. It was early Sunday evening and we knew we would have to leave the car and arrange to be towed on Tuesday, when our short weekend stay ended at a local airbnb. We found the Bosville Arms and were told by Sara that they finished serving food for the day, but understanding our situation happily prepared 2 delicious Pizzas. Sara then helped to ring around the local taxi firms and we found one that would charge £40 to take us back to our airbnb in nearby Hutton Cranswick. We had been chatting with one of the locals, Dave and he rang his wife, Allison and she volunteered to run us back to our airbnb for nothing! We can't thank the lovely Sara and Dave and Allison enough for their friendliness and help and this was echoed everywhere we visited in the area. We even popped back in for lunch on the day our car was collected and towed back to Leeds and to say thank you for all their help. John & Trish Stockport

We were recommended to this pub/restaurant by the owner of an airbnb in Boynton. The food was excellent, and even though the menu was a shortened temporary menu there was a good diverse choice available. The service was friendly and helpful.

Visited this gorgeous little pub Saturday 10th May 2025, lovely pub in a beautiful setting. Service was extremely friendly and accommodating to our dietary requirements, the pizza was amazing and the selection of beer and the quality outstanding! Would highly recommend - we’ll be back.

Called in as never been into the pub before and was told food was good by a local . The pub was quite full so didn’t really expect to get a table . Lovely friendly couple asked if we were ok going into restaurant as table available there . Menu had a good selection of food to choose from but we both settled for traditional Sunday lunch . Beef and pork served with plenty of veg and a huge Yorkshire pudding . Delicious just what we needed after our lengthy walk and on to dessert . Brownie with ice cream and crumble and custard delicious . Great food and excellent service we will be back .

Wonderful welcome and fantastic service from everyone one. Sunday dinner was great and the service from front of house and chef was above and beyond. Highly recommend 2 of our party are vegan and the team had a great selection for them. Thank you
