Always love coming here. This is a listed building, it is full of special nuances, people, see complain, so, understand, before booking this is a place full of character, it has a charm and beauty of it's own. I come often as there are super cheap deals - and it is so comfortable. If you are a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs. I spent my birthday night here, don't know why so many don't appreciate the history and old-grandeur of this stunning place

Das ist ein sehr attraktives Gebäude, geräumig in der Innenstadt und auf einem attraktiven Ort umgeben von Bäumen außerhalb der Stadt. Einfacher Parkplatz. Angesichts seiner Alterslage braucht das Gebäude jetzt eine Erhöhung, ist aber immer noch elegante, und wir haben besonders die schöne Lounge gefallen. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück und Abendessen (Wir liebten die Orange). Besonderes Dank an Connie, Tim und John für das Gefühl, wir sind wirklich willkommen. Ohne Klimaanlage hätten wir eine Sommer-gewicht-Duvet auf dem Bett geschätzt. Wir würden auch eine Toilettenschlange im Badezimmer erwarten, und eine Option von pflanzlichem Tee auf dem Willkommensschrank. Wir würden es wieder verwenden.

Wir setzen uns ein wenig auf zwei Gedanken bei der Bewertung des Hotels. Ab der Ankunft: der Parkplatz war groß, aber voller. Wir mussten einen Ort suchen. Check-in ging reibungslos, es gibt einen alten, kleinen Aufzug für 1 Person mit Gepäck. Das Zimmer erfüllte. Es gibt keinen Kühlschrank, keine Klimaanlage, und der Sitz, der auf den Fotos steht, fehlte. Es gibt zwei Stühle. Es gibt ein Fernseher mit wenigen Sendern, ein Badezimmer mit kleinem Bad und eine separate gute Dusche. Das Zimmer ist sauber, aber Zimmerreinigung, saubere Handtücher usw. ist nicht standardisiert. Deshalb müssen Sie fragen. Das Frühstück ist in Form von Buffet. Es gibt Service für Kaffee, Toast und besondere Bestellungen. Ergänzungen passieren nicht sofort, wenn es notwendig ist, also manchmal sind die Gerichte einfach auf. Am Abend war das Hotel aus. Keiner zuzugeben, um ein Getränk oder was auch immer. Am Tag, an dem wir verließen, entdeckten wir, dass es noch eine Bar gab, die offenbar offen war. Sie müssen es nur wissen ...

Booked this hotel at short notice and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, service and quality of the food, we only had breakfast but it was excellent, the staff were very food and provided excellent level of service.room attended too each day, only gripe was the early morning deliveries which disturbed us first night, recommend this hotel highly

We stayed for 3 nights from 19th-22nd May, we were attending a wedding in the area and wanted somewhere to extend it to a weekend break. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout however, the initial investment to move away from a conference centre needs updating. The first room we were allocated had carpet I would expect to find in an office and bed that squeaked everytime I shifted my weight to the extent that it woke me and my husband up throughout the night. Having told the reception staff after the first night I was advised they would let the maintenance team know. We returned very late that day and it was clear nothing had been done about the bed but just went to bed because of the time. When I complained the next day that I was told that the maintenance team don’t work weekends. We were not initially offered another room because the hotel was apparently full. The second morning we were offered another room, which was smaller than the first, and that was not very big! We were offered a third room which was larger than the first two, but had ants near the window and you could tell the bed has not been updated for a while as the spring could be felt in the mattress. We gave up and slept in the room and it was a better night than the first two. We also found a detection card of some kind under the bed of the first room that was dated from 2001! And there were other signs around the hotels main building and additional buildings that they just don’t have enough staff, things like beer glasses around from events the day/night before but still out at midday. The overall impression is that outside weddings and conferences it’s trying to compete with a mid-range hotel market, however, despite paying more it didn’t feel like we got a room or bed that couldn’t be matched in a chain of hotels who would guarantee a good night sleep and ensure the beds were regularly updated. The breakfast was included but nothing that couldn’t be had in a well-known chain and with less choice/options. We wouldn’t recommend it unless you were staying overnight as part of a wedding package/party. Ok for one night but disappointing as a weekend getaway.

Wir erhielten einen Nachmittag Tee-Gutschein als Weihnachtsgeschenk und entschied, für den Geburtstag meines Mannes im Juni zu buchen. Nach der Ankunft am Hotelrezeption mussten wir nur wenige Minuten warten, bevor Donna uns in einen der Lounges zeigte, wo uns ein Tisch durch ein Fenster mit Blick auf den See und den Boden eingerichtet wurde. Da es ein schöner sonniger Nachmittag war, fragte ich, ob wir Tee auf der Terrasse haben könnten. Donna entschuldigte sich und sagte, das sei leider nicht möglich, so dass wir ursprünglich ein wenig enttäuscht waren, aber wir konnten immer noch die Aussicht genießen. Unser ausgewählter Kaffee mit heißem Milch kam schnell und die Auswahl von Sandwiches, Skins und Pastissen folgte schnell. Alle wurden frisch gemacht und ziemlich lecker. Donna stellte sicher, dass sowohl der Kaffee als auch die heiße Milch so füllt wurden, wie es nötig war, und sie blickte uns ganz nachmittag superb an. Nach dem Tee und dem Gefühl ziemlich voll nahmen wir die Gelegenheit, um einen Spaziergang um die Hotelfläche zu machen, um die Fische im See und die Deer zu sehen, die unter den Bäumen auf dem angrenzenden Golfplatz graben. Insgesamt, ein sehr angenehmer Nachmittag wurde noch besser durch den Juni-Sonnenschein!
